We met on New Year’s Eve, 1988, moved in together 6 weeks later, got married in 2003 as soon as it was legal in Canada, and just realized we’re coming up on 28 years… and they said it wouldn’t last!

So you weren’t the only gay in the village, after all?

I selected 5-10 years – it was 6 years (almost exactly) before we got married, 5 til engagement. But we started dating pretty much immediately after we met.

Same here. We started dating the day after we met, and we got married six years (to the day!) after we met.
