Florida deputies allegedly discovered human remains, including those believed to belong to two children, in a burn pit at a property of a man now charged with murder.
Rory Atwood, 25, is facing a first-degree murder charge after he allegedly admitted to friends that he killed the victims previously reported missing. The human remains have yet to be identified, but deputies believe they belong to Rain Mancini, 26, and Phillip Zilliot II, 25, and their children Karma Zilliot, 6 and Phillip Zilliot III, 5.

I am not seeing information about deaths in the Crete shooting?
“More than anything, we are thankful that all of the victims of the shooting will survive,” said Capt. Sean Caradori with the state patrol.
Here’s the latest from the NE State Patrol:
… Officers and the first EMTs on scene evacuated the victims to safety so they could be transported for treatment. In total, there were seven gunshot victims. Six were initially identified and transported to Crete Area Medical Center. The seventh realized hours later that he had been struck and was transported to the hospital.
Out of respect for the request for privacy, NSP will not be releasing the names of the victims. There were four children injured in this shooting, ranging from ages 3 to 10. There were three adults injured, ranging from ages 22 to 43.
As of early Saturday afternoon, four patients have been treated and released from area hospitals. Three victims remain at a hospital receiving care. Two of the victims are at Children’s Hospital in Omaha and one remains at Bryan Health West Campus in Lincoln. All injuries at this point are believed to be non-life-threatening…
The only death is the suspect’s. Apparently self-inflicted with the shotgun he shot from his house across the street at neighbors with whom he had been in conflict. The youngest victim was 3 years old. The shooter is identified and is 74 years old. I don’t want to glorify him by repeating his name.
This happened 27 miles north of me.
Wonderful news! I am so pleased to be wrong. I suppose at some point the site I cited reported deaths. The shooter in this case used a shotgun IIRC. That may have made the difference. I will correct this once my eyes focus.

People had gathered at the home for a birthday party for the 21-year-old son of the homeowner, Mallery said. The homeowner died in the shooting, the police chief said. It appeared that the 20-year-old suspect knew people at the party but he had not been invited, Mallery said.
