McDonalds hates black people.

I used to like a lot of R. Kelly’s songs, before the ‘In the Closet’ nonsense. I had never heard this particular song you linked to.

I am not wishing death on you, as I know it is against the rules. That’s all.

It’s not just McDonalds, since Obama got elected so many more companies are deliberately going after “black” audiences. AT&T has many commericals with the people speaking the black ebonics dialect. Also the “pwarty” etc etc. You have Arby’s and Subway as well.

When I work I listen to the TV and it used to be rare I could tell a black person talking on a commerical. Now it’s so easy to find advertiser after advertiser using black people in commericals using the typical “black” accent I find in Chicago.

The thing is Obama does it too. I never could figure out why he talks “black” (as well as down to) when he address black audiences but speaks different and more educated when he talks to whites. Hillary or McCain never would’ve gotten away with this.

I’ve talked to my black friends about this and they don’t see it as bad but rather as America accepting them

I’ve never noticed the Obama accent thing you describe, but Hilary and McCain certainly would get away with it, and have.

Politicians self-edit to fit their audiences all the time. Democrats do union photo ops wearing work boots; Republicans do military photo ops wearing bomber jackets.

You mean they’re going to faze out Ronald? Huh, wow.

I think that having anything that is too specifically kid related in such a staple of the U.S. motor strip will, in the long run, kill lots of people. Having kid’s commercials saying “GO EAT THIS FATTY FOOD” with cartoon characters dancing is as bad a thing for society as Joe Cool. You will get them addicted to the lifestyle and they will not break out of it. The children that grew up on that type of introduction to that type of lifestyle will tax our healtcare system to the breaking point in another 20 years… If we make it that far.

Having sides like “apple fries” and serving it with milk does diddly squat. When the kid gets a little older he’ll be eating the Big Mac.

Eat it. Fine. Don’t be a nazi… Let your kids eat it too on occasion. Don’t have it be a staple of the diet and don’t throw kids toys for eating it and don’t have playplaces and don’t have cartoon characters eating the stuff while literally singing their praises of it.

WOAH on edit I remember having as a child one of two heavy plastic plates that had mcdonalds characters all over them… My sister had the other. We’d eat off them on occasions like birthdays and such. wtf… thats a weird and disturbing flashback.

I must try me some of this McDonalds cuisine. Looking at it I had assumed that it was all rubbish. If however, it consists of delicacies so delectable that, even people racially insulted by the chain cannot resist buying them, I must follow my homies guide. Upsize me.

Exactly. In fact, the main point against the OP’s thesis is that the actor and actress are both obviously well-off, and attractive. Were racism the ultimate motive, they would be portrayed in a in a manner consistent with a recognized racial caricature, as was done to other ethnic groups in our country’s history.

You know, the whole Jew-Nose effect.

Many of the people who actually work in fast food restaurants don’t eat the food there because they are just so sick of it!
Most of them get a free meal each shift, but given the limited menu, they are soon tired of the same thing. And if you’ve spent the last 4 hours making Big Macs, you may not be all that interested in eating one for dinner.

Near here, there is an intersection with McDonalds, Burger King, Arbys, and KFC at the corners, and a Subway next door. I had several friends who worked at various of those. The workers there (who mostly came from the same high school) had evolved an exchange system where they could go to any of those restaurants, show their employee id, and get a free meal. Thus the McDonalds workers might go to Burger King and get a Whopper for their lunch, and vice-versa. The managers were either unaware of this, or, more likely, just chose to ignore it. Some managers did demand that they not wear their uniform while waiting in line at a competitor. So this led to workers starting up their car to drive across the street and go to the drive-thru of their competitor. But gas was well under $1/gallon back then.
