McDonalds/KFC/Burger King... which is for you?

We have this big discussion every Saturday night at my brothers. See, my sister-in-law can’t decide between BK or KFC. I was weaned off Mc D’s by practically everyone I knew (hey, don’t blame them… there’s only so long that tastelessness can appeal to a guy…) so now I’m strictly a KFC fan. My bro is into the BK experience. I’m not a big fan… but all three agree that Mc D sucks.

So what’s your flava?..

It depends on what’s closer.

At BK, I get the Chicken Sandwich. (The long sandwich, not the one on the hamburger bun.)

At McD’s I get the Chicken McNuggets.

I find KFC too expensive, so I tend to steer clear.

If I may throw in a fourth option, Taco Bell: Two hard tacos and a Burrito Supreme. Yum yum yum.

KFC (4-piece chicken with mashed potatoes and mashed potatoes), like Pizza Hut (Meat lovers with stuffed crust), is in a class of its own when I am deciding on which kind of food to get. They are tastes of their own and large meals.

McDonald’s (Crispy Chicken Sandwich) and BK (Chicken Sandwich) are similar but I would opt for McD’s more often. But that’s because our BK drive-through is an automatic 15-minute wait.

Come on man, how could you leave out Taco Bell. Mmmm… grade D meat.

The last time I had a bucket of chicken, it was pretty nasty. It will be a long time before I go back there.

I eat at both McDonalds and Burger King regularly and choose solely based on which is closest.

Wendy’s

None of the above.

Here at The Straight Dope we recommend serving three whole-food meals a day, prepared entirely from scratch, with an eye toward proper nutrition and a good balance of lean protein to complex carbohydate. If you must snack in between, raw organic carrots are very tasty indeed.

[sub]There…now the Chicago Reader is absolved of blame when you guys keel over at age 32 from eating all that pre-fab crap.[/sub]

McD’s for me. The McD’ses in India have a localized burger that is nice and spicy. I like it. Add some potato wedgies and a drink and I’m happy full. And the vanilla ice-cream is for about 15 cents.

Burger King we have none, and I’ve never tried a BK elsewhere.

Tried KFC once in the UK, it’s extremely yuck. Too fried. Too dry.

Out of those three, I’d take KFC, if only for the fact that I can get mashed potatoes instead of french fries. But c’mon, people… Arby’s!! Their roast beef sandwiches are really yummy, I don’t even put any sauce on them or anything, just the meat and the bread is soo tasty. And their curly fries are to die for.

Personally, the only thing I’ve been getting from any fast food chain are oreo McFlurries. There’s nothing like a McFlurry after seeing a ridiculous movie with friends on a Sunday night… well, except sex maybe.  :stuck_out_tongue:

I prefer BK, but it’s been almost a year since I’ve eaten in one.

I’m strictly a Taco Bell kinda guy. Or Long John Silvers/Captain D’s when I grow weary of Chicken Gorditas and Bean Burritos.

But if forced to chose between the three, I’d go BK. I’ve had my lifetime quota of McD’s, and KFC is a bit expensive for a “cheap” lunch.

Of those three, I’d probably pick KFC. I gave up BK about 2 years ago, after about the 10th time in a row they screwed up my order, and I can’t really like the taste again after all that time. I’ve given up McD’s almost completely, except for breakfast sandwiches, chicken sandwiches and the occassional 39 cent cheeseburger deal.

But if I could, I’d pass up the KFC for Brown’s Chicken or Arby’s.

In N Out.

In lieu of that, I would choose BK. I don’t care for the other two.

A vote for BK here. They put tomatoes on almost everything. The burgers are flame broiled. They actually have a veggie burger on the menu. Plus, you can substitute onion rings for fries, and that makes me happy.

(also, the one closest to me actually makes their milkshakes from hard ice cream, not one of those big machines with the icky mixes)

All of the above…

I’ll take my fat a cholesterol any way I can, thank you!

Of the three I prefer KFC, but my true love is Jack in the Box (aka Jack in the Crack).

I rarely eat fast food these days, I’m trying to be healthy and cheap, but BK is about the only junk food place I’ll go near. Those $.99 Sour Dough Burgers are way too tempting.

But if we ever get a Checkers around here, I’m moving right next door to them.

BK without a doubt for their burgers.

McD’s for their fries, and for their breakfast sandwiches. But that’s all.

Never to KFC for what xash said.
