You’re hungry, and your only choices for obtaining food are McDonald’s or Burger King. Which do you choose? Feel free to explain your choice.
I’m not a fast food fan. But I find that McDonald’s quality control is consistently superior to BK’s. I’ve been given inedible food at BK before, but never at McDonalds.
[sub]okay, it’s a lame poll, but I am curious about the issue, and I want the practice at creating polls[/sub]
Being a vegetarian, if I’m really really hungry, I pick Burger King, as they have a Veggie Burger (from Morningstar Farms!) and they do not dip their french fries in beef broth during the production process.
(Yes, I’m still bitter about those fuckers at McDonald’s covering that up, why do you ask?)
McDonald’s, hands down, if those are my only two choices. While the burgers are slightly better at Burger King, their fries and chicken products (to me) are awful, plus McD’s has hot mustard (yum).
Prior to my giving a crap about my calorie intake: Burger King. Their burgers taste like real food.
These days: Mcdonald’s. Their Caesar salad isn’t bad, and BK’s salads are uniformly terrible. I’m still voting for BK, though, just because their burgers are so good.
Burger King, definitely. McDonald’s’s* burgers don’t taste like burgers. And McDonald’s’s fries haven’t tasted good since the reformulation.
But the main thing is that McDonald’s gets something good, and then takes it away. Burger King adds it to their menu. I still haven’t forgiven the former for taking away the best vinaigrette I’ve ever tasted and those salad shakers.
As for the quality control thing: that’s usually more of an individual store thing. I find that my McDonald’s always has the cheapest vegetables, despite their “premium salad” concept.
*Yeah, it looks bad. But how else do you make something possessive that already has an ‘s? We do use Jones’s, not Jones’, so I think I’m being consistent here, if a bit OCD.
