If you want a real burger quickly, Burger King is the way to go hence the name. I don’t know how they came up with the concept of of a McDonalds hamburger. It isn’t terrible but it isn’t recognizable in any other context either. I do like McDonald’s chicken McNuggets and hot mustard sauce though.
McDonald’s, and I’ll have some chicken nuggets, probably. They still have those, right? It’s been a while since I’ve been to either place.
Actually, I’d rather go to White Castle.
Ditto and ditto. (And ditto.)
If it was possible, I’d go to Wendy’s or Jack in the Box. But of the two choices given, I’d pick Burger King.
In July I ate at McDonalds for the first time since 1999. The food did taste like I remembered it tasting. That was not a good thing. While sitting near the soda machines two beekeepers came in dressed in their manure splattered work clothes. The work clothes smelled a little smokey, but very strong of cattle manure like what is sprayed as a liquid from tanks. It was very gagging to smell, but they moved past before I had to leave my seat. They however sat behind the table my sister was at. She was sitting a table past me. I would have had to leave to a different area. The booth on the other side of the low partition next to me had a guy sitting at the table to eat. Unfortunately he had a very young girlfriend standing next to him bending over him giving kisses and rubbing his body under his clothing for my entire meal. The stinking bee keepers left during our meal, so I asked my sister how she could sit there. She said she was nauseated from the smell. She can be so stupid like not moving. Never sit near the soda machine. Everybody goes by it and including the disgusting people and screaming kids. McDonalds was full of weird stuff and the food was undesirable visiting for the first time in ten years.
McDonald’s has delicious fries and the Spicy McChicken sandwich. No mayo, add cheese please.
Done and done.
I don’t recall anything other than regret the few times I’ve eaten at BK.
I always tell people the worst thing about having kids is that they will be indoctrinated in to wanting McDonalds and you may sometimes have to ingest some yourself.
I must admit some of their new healthy stuff looks OK but my kids are adults now so I never go. When it comes to burgers the things they serve are an abomination - poor quality ingredients, hastily and sloppily thrown together and presented in a most unappealing manner. Burger King is Hungry Jack’s here and they have the advantage of burgers that look like burgers - not great but edible.
It was a tough choice. I can get a double cheeseburger and a vanilla cone (or fruit and yogurt parfait) and large unsweetened tea at McD’s for under $5.00. Filling, high protein, and cheap. OTOH, BK does have those Cheesy Tots, and I luuuuurve them. My hubby is addicted to Whoppers, so if I’m with him, BK usually wins out. But if I’m by myself and my protein levels are red-lining, it’s McD’s.
When we lived in Maryland, BK often won out when I was just with my youngest daughter, because we had a BK that had a huge play area with plenty of climbing (she loves to climb!), but here in WV, the BK and McD’s are in the same shopping center, and they both have huge play areas with plenty of climbing, so she’s happy with either. Also, when it comes to mudgirl, McD’s and BK both offer apple slices with caramel sauce as an alternative to fries with their Kid’s Meals. We prefer the apples to the fries. If BK had them and MdD’s didn’t, it might tilt my vote.
Burger king has better burgers (even though i can appreciate a big mac every now and again) and if you don’t like their fries, the curly fries are a lot better.
I’m not a fan of either but I do like milkshakes and filet o’fishes. So McD wins for me. And actually I like their grilled chicken sandwiches, but they’re overpriced in my book. Taco bell always wins the day for cheap and easy filling food.
Same here.
Burger King’s Whopper is still the best fast food burger,*but their fries are God-awful, with an aftertaste that makes you think they taste like soap.
McDonald’s Big and Tasty is decent, but their fries are good.
Wendy’s single is the second best burger, and has the best fries. I go there over the other two.
*I’m not counting the really good burger places like Five Guys.
I prefer Mcdonald’s fries, but the onion rings and the burger taste/texture means I give the win to BK
For some reason, I’ve only eaten at Burger King a handful of times in my life (compared to approximately six thousand trips to McDonalds.) I can’t recall being terribly impressed with BK food, and the fries were downright bad.
My daughter and I go eat together once a week at McDonalds (she picks the restaurant) and I don’t ever get tired of having a Quarter Pounder with Cheese! In fact, I like most stuff on the menu. I’ve been on a sort of health kick lately so I’ve been getting the Southwestern Salad with grilled chicken. It has corn and beans and spicy dressing…oh, so good!
McD’s for breakfast. Of all legal substances available in non-hypothetical universes, their Egg McMuffin is the closest to eating God himself.
For lunch/dinner, both restaurants are about equal in my eyes.
Yeah, they have onion rings, but they’re not all that great. Some days you just have a hankerin’ for an O-ring though…
Having said that, I voted for Mickey D’s. My hankerin’ today is for a Big Mac.
Burger King has never served me a hot sandwich.
Plus, their “flame broiling” is really mostly the addition of “liquid smoke”, which ought to be banned.
Bugger King. Unless it’s breakfast. Can’t beat and Egg Maguffin.
McD’s all the way. I absolutely ABHOR BK.
