McDonald's or Burger King

McD’s for breakfast but the rest of the day BK. Since I rarely eat fast food breakfasts I went with BK. The Whopper is the second best fast food burger the Jumbo Jack beats it on taste and price.

My fav fast food burger is a Whopper Jr. with cheese, so I go with BK.

McDonalds does have superior fries, though.

And really, I’d much rather hit up a Taco Bell.

Burger King because they have baked potatoes. They used to, anyway. Actually, we usually go to Wendy’s because they have baked potatoes. I love baked potatoes.

I don’t eat hamburgers, so I base my vote on the seafood, such as it is. The McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish can be quite tasty, and is always at least edible. By any name (Whaler, BK Big Fish, or simply BK Fish), Burger King’s counterpart tastes like rotten leather.

McDonald’s.

They are about equal on the burger front but McDonalds fries are the food of the gods.

I’d have to go with the King in that situation. McDonald’s burgers are much smaller. Right now I try to stay away from both (health reasons).

Mickey D’s french fries are the finest food produced at any restaurant anywhere. They are decisive. However the number of people praising BK baffles me. Every BK around here is so ghetto it’s embarrassing and the food they serve is inconsistent at best and often flat out horrific. The Whopper has shredded lettuce on it…shredded lettuce. Any sandwich with shredded lettuce on it belongs in the trash. Shredded lettuce is worse than no lettuce at all. The Whopper bun is dry and the sandwich is usually served cold and dry. Lastly Whoppers are swimming in mayo usually applied with a trowel. McDonald’s burgers are not epic, they have a very manufactured quality to them, but Whoppers are so deeply flawed that it shocks me that anyone would prefer them. There is essentially nothing on the BK menu that surpasses the McDonald’s menu. Their only advantages are in food stuffs that McDonald’s simply doesn’t carry like the Onion Rings and Tots. Were Mickey D’s to produce them they’d certainly best BK.

Breakfast: McDonalds
Anything else: Burger King

Although I recently had the Angus McDonalds burger a few weeks ago, it was delicious.

I like Mickey D’s fries, in fact they are the only french fries that I do like. Someone once told me it was because of the salt at McDonalds.

Of course, I was skeptical, but their salt does seem to taste better than regular salt. I always ask for extra packets of salt and use it at home on eggs, baked potatoes, etc.

I am sure it is all psychological but I sure think I can taste the difference.

McDonalds never covered anything up; twas merely silly entitled crybabies assuming (and we all know why we shouldn’t assume, children!) that using vegetable oil made the fries vegetarian. Anyone with the slightest knowledge of cooking would assume no such thing.

I picked Burger King due to XL Bacon Double Cheesburgers without cheese.

I think perhaps they use a slightly finer grind than most people get from their shakers. Probably accounts for the difference in taste.

Yup. Whopper JR. is way better than a full whopper. Not sure why.

Salt can taste different if there’s other chemicals besides sodium chloride in it (minerals, etc). Frankly, I dunno why our table salt is pure nacl. Probably just cheaper to make it that way (or used to be).

Not true from what I’ve read. In the Wiki article on McDonald’s, controversy section, there’s a link to a (jpg warning) letter from McDonald’s listing the fries as a vegetarian item, prompting a lawsuit. McDonald’s settled for $10 million in donations to vegetarian organizations and posted an apology on their website, though they continued to deny misleading people.

That’s pretty obviously a small mistake and not part of any conspiracy and the lawyer involved is an obvious ambulance chaser. Take a look at all the other maccy d’s articles on his website: http://hbharti.com/h_bharti_mcd/mcdonalds_suit.htm

It’s not a small mistake to people who ate the fries, and they refused to release their full ingredient list when petitioned on it. Other posted ingredient lists omitted the beef.

They mentioned natural flavouring; it is not usual to disclose all flavours.

Man, if you think McDonald’s fries are great now, imagine what they were like then.

And me.
