McDonalds/KFC/Burger King... which is for you?

Between the McDonalds/Burger King feud I vote for a third party: Wendy’s. Deeeee-lishus. The triples just rock. But they’re not enough; a quadrouple should be invented! So I have to go with a triple and a single with a biggie fry. But I’m young and skinny…

Aside from Wendy’s, Jack-in-the-Box is good for their Sourdough Jacks alone. But they messed them up (see the Pit Thread on that a few months back) somehows. Taco Bell is good; mostly due to the cheapitude of it all but that it actually tastes GOOD.

I haven’t been to a BK in several years in fact, but I remember the burger’s being alright and the shakes being good. McDonald’s I only eat if everyone else is, just to keep things smoothe you know.

I like KFC’s chicken. I can eat 1 fourth of the bucket by myself, and the rest I can put in the fridge for later and eat cold (fried chicken is good after a day in the fridge, esp. KFC’s with its special “herbs” and “spices”).

Arby’s is alright.

So that’s my two cents. And it seems metaphorical of political parties (the third parties and who ha).

For those that like Taco Bell and KFC, there is a combo restaurant near me. I always get the #9, 3 chicken strips, 2 crunchy deluxe tacos, a side of potato wedges and a large Pepsi for $4.99. I always get a side of sour cream to dip the spuds in. There are also a couple of Taco Bell/Pizza Hut combo places.

I rarely eat McDonalds, usually only if the grandkids force me.

I will not eat BK’s flame broiled (then refrigerated and microwaved hot when ordered) burgers. I do like their chicken sandwiches, especially the international sandwiches they had a few years ago.

There are quite a few Dairy Queens in the Seattle area. All sell burgers besides the ice cream. They are currently having a sale on Peanut Buster Parfaits for 99 cents. I had 2 last weekend.

I am throwing my vote for Quizno’s Subs though. Small sandwich, side salad and drink for less than 6 bucks.

BK is better (to me) but I find myself at Mcdees more often, probably because of the brainwashing power of the ads.

Also, Mcdees have fallen because they are never clean.

But thanks for making crave KFC while I’m at work.

Do they really do this?!?!?

…all I know is:
hot burger. mushy.
hot bun. squishy.
hot mustard.
hot lettuce.
hot tomato.
etc.

yuck.

My step daughter worked at a BK for a while. Because the broiling process used to cook the burgers takes twice as long as frying, BK precooks patties prior to the lunch and dinner rush. The best time to get a hot off the broiler pattie is first thing in the morning or right after the dinner rush.

No. I used to work at BK and when we were preparing for the lunch or dinner rush, we made a bunch of burgers and kept them in a steamer. It keeps them hot (sorta) and prevents the buns from drying out. Still kind of yucky but not as bad as refrigeration.

Of the three choices in the OP, I’d have to go with McDonalds. Those damn specials where they have 2 Quarter Pounders for $2 will be the death of me. I looooove a steaming hot 1/4 #er. A few years ago, they ran that 2-for-2 special for a whole friggin’ month. I swear I probably ate 40 of them suckers that summer.
However, I will take Taco Bell over all else any day. You can’t beat a bean burrito for 89 cents.
Happy

None of the three! When I was in college, I lived off of Rally’s. Best burgers and fries in the world.

I’m not sure if it’s my changing tastes or bad luck, but the McDonalds around me all have horrible food. I mean really bad, how do they stay in business food. And I don’t eat any chicken that I don’t prepare myself - my little protest against battery farms. So, Burger King (or Hungry Jack’s) for me. But they have the world’s worst ads.

Oh, my God, how could I forget the Long John Silver’s crunchies!!!

Plus they have malt vinegar for their fries. And the chicken strips aren’t too bad either.

Yes, I know, going to a fast food seafood for chicken. :o I’m not a big fish eater.

(or a little fish eater, for that matter ;))

Depends on the time of day here.

iF I’m getting breakfast then I’d rather have the McD’s. The EggMcMuffin still can’t be beat. Burger kings equvilant seems to have styrafoam eggs. Coke products mean I drink HiC.

Lunch? Rally’s chicken strips is the best. KFc’s are too expensive. Arby’s chicken is great too.BK’s chicken is just nasty. Rally’s burgers are great for a buck. I can get a fresh brewed iced tea or a Dr.Pepper here.

If I have to choose on burger/fries alone I’d go with Wendy’s.

Heh. Fallen Arches.
