Memorable Robot "Sidekicks"?

I thought “Yoyo” was the robot.

And I always thought the robot on Get Smart was “Hymie”. (Yeah, I know the pronunciation is similar… I just thought that was how it was spelled.)

Not strictly robots, but there was Bishop from Aliens II, and Eve Edison (played by the delicious Yancy Butler) in Mann and Machine (briefly in 1992).

That was “Hymie.” It’s more Jewish that way, and the humor in “Get Smart” was nothing if it wasn’t Jewish.

Don Adams - Wikipedia Don Adams was only half Jewish and eventually went Catholic. Who knew?

Bender.

The Superman robots from the comics in the 50s-70s.

Mel Brooks is Jewish???

7 Zark 7, from Battle of the Planets, who had his own robot sidekick 1 Rover 1. (Isn’t that kind of like Goofy having Pluto for a pet?)

T-Bob from MASK.

And that robot from Galaxy Rangers.

Oh how I hate comedy relief robot sidekicks.

Woofer & Tweeter from The Bugaloos.

Anyone remember Small Wonder?

It had the little robot girl…terrible cheesy show.

Megaira of In Fury Born and Dahak of Empire From The Ashes. They are AI driven ships, so qualify as robots if on a large scale.

Bolos as a group; sentient tanks ( more like land battleships, with nuclear guns ) designed with the ultimate Honorable Noble Warrior personalities.

Query: How come you meatbags haven’t mentioned HK-47 yet?

Robot roll call:

Cambot,
Servo,
Gypsy,
Croooww!

Sergeant Major Zero, from Terrahawks.

Funny, he doesn’t look Jewish…

Sidekicks? We’re only good enough to be sidekicks, are we? “Yes, sir, bend a girder for you right away. sir.” “Oh, don’t get your hands dirty, let me weld that car chassis for you.” “You guys stay in the shuttle, I’ll go grapple that errant satellite.”

But you sing a different tune when I try to date your daughter.

Robby was also on Lost in Space (twice).

A very prolific robot career.

And, for $50K, one had a choice for him, but Dopers don’t leave that sort of change laying around.

If I HAD a daughter, and she was a Robosexual, I’d have no problem with that, mistreat her in any way. however, and you’d find your OS repartitioned, wiped, and restored, and your hardware melted down before you could say Clean Install…

PEEPO from 1970’s saturday morning shows “Space Academy” and “Jason of Star Command”

Decades before I ever heard of the Iron Giant, there was Giant Robot, a movie about a giant robot named Giant Robot. (Wikipedia and IMDb insist it was a TV series called “Giant Robo,” but my childhood memories will not be denied.) I based an imaginary childhood friend on it, for Pete’s sake. (Although my giant robot was named “George.”)

Oh, gosh! How did I forget Frankenstein, Jr.?!
