Men: Do you like short hair on women?

Link to reciprocal thread.

I know I do. As I intimated in a month-ago thread, I tend to like androgynous women-
spunky, sarcastic, playful, tomboyish. And if the short hair comes as part of the
package deal…[licks lips]

So any other guys into short haired women?

It’s not something that will attract me to a woman all on its own but, yes, I can and do find short hair on women incredibly attractive. A friend I currently have a mild crush on has a shorter hairstyle than my own (which is barely long enough to cover the tips of my ears) and another friend shaves her head and is just gorgeous.

Generally no, but in some cases it does work to advantage. Have to take it on an individual basis, I guess.

I do if they look like Halle Berry.

Q

It’s a turn off for sure. I don’t like the 3 foot and longer either.

No, but it’s not a dealbreaker.

On a woman with the right features I think it’s very attractive. I like it best when it’s neat and clean (style-wise) as opposed to the disheveled, tousled, bed-head look.

It looks fine on my wife. I also like the peach fuzz and full eyebrows, so I’m definitely a freak of some kind.

On 99% of the women with short hair, it doesn’t look nearly as good as they think it does. I’m sure it more than makes up for that in how much easier it is to deal with, but the best general reaction it can inspire in terms of physical attractiveness is “neutral”, or maybe “courageous”.

Thankfully (for them), there are plenty of other men who feel differently, and it’s not like I really care about hair length for any other reason.

No.
Never.

Yes I find short hair very attractive. However, few women can pull it off.

Not that I have anything against ladies with long hair, but I love the look of short hair on a woman. In fact, my wife’s hair is shorter than mine. I believe she pulls it off quite well.

(I’m the tall one with the long hair.)

She’s a cutie, and I would probably hit on her if we met (you know, that “right” amount of hitting-on that is respectful of another man’s wife and won’t get you beat up!), but I don’t really think of that particular length hair as “short”. To use the obvious example, this is what I think of when the short hair discussions come up. (SFW inasmuch as Halle Berry in a somewhat revealing formal gown on IMDB is SFW)

The problem becomes - speaking as a woman here - that a large majority of women cut their hair short when they reach their 30’s. Short hair is seen as the mature thing. So lots of women do it when they really need that hair to frame their face and just don’t look good in short hair.

Personally, I know my hair looks best when long. Right now it’s about 2 feet but you can’t tell since it’s so curly. Instead of bowing to style and fashion and worst of all “norm” more woman should look in the mirror and really try to understand what looks good on them.

I have to agree with Kiros. I don’t consider that short hair. Short for me means “boy short”, to use a term a woman friend of mine coined.

Short like AndyPolley’s wife? I like that. Boy short, no. But it’s not a dealbreaker.

No, I don’t like it. Some women’s short hairstyles make them look like a guy in drag- not attractive at all. Also, if the woman has even a little bit of extra fat around her face, having short hair makes her face look much worse in my opinion.

I like long hair, and I like short hair. Some women can even make bald look sexy.

Exactly what I dropped by to say.

I hate short hair on women and especially the really generic flat just barely past ear-level kind that molds to the face that it seems women who are professionals or in business seem to prefer.

Depends on where the hair is located…
