As for th Lan Parties, The cost is based on what we are offering for the prizes as well as what we are offering for refreshments, how long it is, etc. It can range anything from $10-$50 per person.

I’m going to the mall with my friends on sunday around 11 am. Probably we will be there until 2 or so. I’ll drop by the stand, I know where it is. Prolly won’t buy anything, just to say hi. I’ll be wearing jeans and a red shirt.
I don’t know if it’s the same place - it’s called the Fairfield Inn now. If it used to be a funeral home it shows no sign of it.

As for the funeral home hotel fairfield might be it, I’m not sure. It was originally named something like Brunner Hotel but they changed the name to distance it from Brunner Funeral Home. That Funeral Home is amazing. I saw an advertisment of their Funeral Home Store and it blew my mind. Paraphrasing the advertisment: Bring your family and friends to Brunner Funeral Home Store and have an exciting shopping experience! They stopped just short of saying “Putting the FUN back in funeral”. Yeesh.

I was at the mall today, and I walked passed the stand/store. I said I was just looking at stuff. If you saw 3 girls come by, two blonds and a brunette and say that around noon, I was one of the three. I didn’t stop to talk since we were in a hurry. If you didn’t see that, than it probably wasn’t you (biohazard) I talked to.
Damn, and here I am all the way in PEEb’dy MA when I was just in Ohio, and in fact staying with some friends in Orwell.

Good to hear that there are more Ohio dopers than just me. I dont’d get out to Mentor too often as I live in Akron but work in Mayfield Heights, so I get plenty of drive time as it is. Not as much as when I used to live in Burbank and commute to Orange County but “…'tis enough, will suffice.”

Oh, and the hotel everyone is trying to think of is the Best Western Lawnfield Inn and Suites. It’s owned by a by one of the TravelLine Travel Agency companies. The Best Western name is just an affiliation. (Leave it to a travel-guru to noodle THAT one out!)
