Mentor, OH area dopers

If there are any Mentor, OH (a suburb of Cleveland) dopers, stop by my store in the Great Lakes Mall (sometimes called Mentor Mall). The store is called INet Interactive and is across from the arcade, next to subway.

I have yet to meet anyone thats ever heard of SDMB so it would be nice to meet any of you.

I don’t know which forum this should be in, so Mods, please move accordingly.

Hey, Bio, I’m over here in Willoughby! I don’t think I’ve noticed your store, but then I hardly ever wander down that branch of the mall. I’ll have to stop by some time.

I live in Willoughby too! Anyway, the store hasn’t been here very long and looks like it won’t be here very much longer business has been VERY bad lately.

Also my company has LAN parties here so if any dopers are into that stop by and ask.

Working out the details of the next LAN party, it will prolly be around Jan 10th.

I may drop by tomorrow, have to go to the mall to exchange a defective dvd I got for my sister this Christmas.

Hi, I’m said sister and it’d be cool if we could meet sometime. I’m an occasional mall person, but I’ve never seen that store before; what do they sell?

Said Sister?? Please explain.

The store just opened up about a month ago, we sell everything to do with computers and more.

This offer is subject to SDMB rules and may be revoked at anytime if the administration of the SDMB tells us to quit it and f** off. If neccessary, a small % will be donated for any purchase under that offer to the SDMB administration board.

oops, I hit “Submit Reply” instead of “Preview Reply”…Oh well, Live and learn.

Ack…Ok I assume Merla is the sister of Vanyel. I should have read the posts better. Merla, please stop by…

Okey dokey! Probably Vanyel and I will stop by together, since I’m a new doper and don’t know much about this stuff yet. What hours do you work?

I live in Euclid and go to Great Lakes Mall often.
I own no computer and have no idea what a LAN is, but tell us what hours, maybe we can all come and eat at the mall!

A LAN is a Local Area Network. A LAN party is a party where people bring their computers to a place with a network, hook the computers up, and play huge multiplayer games.

And in case you didn’t figure it out: yes, Merla is my sister.

Sounds good, Lets start taking down some names and set a time.

I’m from where that guy’s from (Chagrin)… I’ll stop by next time we come swim at the Headlands.

Unless you belong to the polar bear club, I take it that’s gonna be a while. But let’s set up some date anyway. How about sometime before vacation is up?

When did they move Chagrin Falls to Lexington, KY (and does that mean that the Merrill Lynch Hunter Jumper Classic is going to be at the Kentucky Horse Park, this year)?

Another Willoughbyite (?) here. Small world.

What’s up with your LAN parties? Straight admission fee? You have tables and stuff for the gear?

What time of day, how long do they last, what games are played? etc.

I’m interested but I usually have to work weekends.

Yeah if i had the $$$ i’d definately grab a custom case. How much you charging for the coolers & what kinds?

BTW, i’m the kid that stopped by a few weeks ago in camo.

I’d want to play some GhostRecon to see how good i am to people i’ve never met ( my internet connection sucks ass ).
Some info about the Lan party…

 1. how much per person & what does that get?
 2. what games will we be playing? (quake3!)
 3. who is supplying the hubs?
 4. how many people showed up for the last one?

Hey - sorry for the confusion. I’m a native of Chagrin Falls but don’t live there now (obviously). I went to school with Bill Watterson there, thus the C&H reference. My family and I come up there to visit relatives now and then, but yes the Lake would be a bit brisk this time of year.

We stay right in Mentor when we’re up there, though - there’s a nice hotel there that was attached to an old house downtown.
