Methinks it's time for another SDMB picture thread

They had, at some point, a losing streak that wasn’t horrendous only because at the same time someone else was worse. Michael Wilbon went to BGSU and said they felt sorry for the other school (BGSU’s team was featured in ESPN’s Top 25 Worst Teams).

av8rmike, that was for you because I know you share the pride as an M.O.T. I wasn’t looking at anything in particular actually, just posing dramatically. FWIW it was taken in front of the AMC Empire 25 on 42nd and 8th.

Bah, who cares anyway? Lessee some more hot Doper Gals

You look a LOT like my mother.
I am glad I can put a face to a name.

Thursday is the big drinking night on my campus. I don’t participate in it much. I have early class or work on Fridays.

I used to say I’d have to be drunk to let people photograph me, but now I fear I’m on my way to becoming one of those people who poses immediately when she even thinks there’s a camera around.

Inuyasha! Eeeeeeee!

(that was delight, if you were wondering)

Nothing wrong with Inuyasha. I thought about the whole demi-youkai look for next year, but it’d be a royal pain of a costume to wear. I’d have to have a bigass fluffy wig, long fake claws, and an oversized red kimono…not to mention the friggin’ doggie ears.

If I can find a red Chinese-style shirt and a clip-on braided ponytail, I may well masquerade as Ranma. This year, though, it’ll be the same old Spike, accompanied by an Ed and a Faye. I’m hoping to get my dad to reprise his role as Vicious (he made a great costume despite knowing nothing about the character), and I must find a Jet. If you know of any huge buff guys in the Roanoke area who wouldn’t mind wearing a fake mechanical arm and parading around with a bunch of doofuses, be sure and drop me a line. Halloween! Wheee!

I think it would work on you. Nothing at all wrong with the Spike costume, though.

Well, here I am for pronouncement or denouncement.
Prosit!

I’m always curious about what other people have on their desks, but this picture is way too small to make out any details (Spongebob? Gymnastic dolphin? Where??). I’m not able to enlarge it in any way…can/would you post a bigger version of it somewhere?

My desk would be horribly boring in comparison: I’m a bit of a neat-freak (anal retentive, meticulous, etc.), so you can generally see much more desktop than anything else. It helps that I’m in an office (vs. cubicle), so I have a bookshelf to spread my “junk” out on. {grin} This week I brought in some Halloween decorations, so there are a pumpkin and a bat on my desk, and there’s a glowing skull on the microwave cart (which holds our mini-fridge).

Hmm, I wonder if anyone else would be interested in a “show me your workplace” thread?

I’m new to posting, long time lurker. I suppose this is as good a way as any to introduce myself. I’m pretty easy-going, very silly, and I love to learn new things - the Straight Dope has been in my favourites list for well over four years now.

This is me.

May I be the first to say:
“Welcome!” and…

How you doin’?

Very cute, Anastasaeon. Welcome to the fold.

Ha! Beat ya!

I think I might have some pictures. Keep your fingers crossed (if you really want to see me that is) that I do this right.
There are other pictures of me at the site as well as pictures of my children.

Not responsible for blindness
Oh, and Roland, Harimad and I demand this years pictures!

(hope you don’t mind I spoke for you hon! )

Oh My God! Salem (two pages ago) manages to look totally hot and totally Pre-Rafalitic at the same time. I can’t decide if I’m turning gay or if I’m just really, really jealous of her hair.

Kricket, I can’t view those pictures. You may need to tinker with your link, or do something else that I, with my limited comprehension of computers, don’t know about.

I’m all right with you speaking for me in the matter of Roland’s pictures, though.

I can’t because that’s all yahoo will do, AFAIK, size-wise, and because I think I deleted the photo. I can get the boss to bring in here camera again and re-do it, but to get any detail it will have to be a photo-montage…or however that is spelled.

In the meantime, Spongebob is below the computer screen and just to the right, as we face it. If you draw a line from the keyboard’s numeric keypad to XJETGIRLX’s left shoulder, you’ll more-or-less cross Spongebob. The dolphin is in about the same spot, but on the left-hand side of the screen, as we face it. The dolphin is like this Mickey Mouse, only his legs hinge as well, while Mickey’s don’t seem to.

Oh, and XJETGIRLX is my computer wallpaper.

SPOOFE knows how to party… listenin’ to music, smokin’ cigars, and drinkin’ Modelo at my buddy’s place…

Spoofe stars in The Ninth Gate II: The Eighteenth Gate. Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson. Coming this summer to a theater near you.
