Seriously, these are great. Keep 'em coming. Kricket and Harimad, I aim to please, so I’ll post this year’s Halloween pics as soon as I have 'em. I asked the managers at work if we’re allowed to dress up for Halloween, and they said we are, as long as it’s nothing too over-the-top. So, in addition to standard Spike, you’ll get Waiter Spike as well. It’s fun for the whole family!

It really does look fabulous on you, dear. I’m possibly going to have a laced gown to wear to Renfest this year, if I go. Not quite a corset, but still ought to be…interesting, as I’ve never worn one before.
Casta Diva Clothiers. They have a shop at the PA Renaissance Faire. I tried one on and fell in love, but they didn’t have the fabric I wanted in my measurements, so I ordered it. They said it would take like 3-4 weeks but it got here in 6 days. It laces up the front and the back, so after my friend laced me into it I can get in and out myself, and it is also reversible! The other side is denim. Unfortunately this is the best picture I got of that side… not that flattering.
But anyways, yes, it is a fantastic creation, for a very good price. I still should not have bought it, considering my depth of debt and such, but… so nice.
A Dopefest is when a bunch of Dopers who live in the same geographic area get together in real life to meet, drink, talk, gossip about Cecil, etc. As far as I can tell, they get started when someone decides to host/organize one and posts a message on the board asking if anyone else is interested.
I haven’t been to one or anything – I’ve only been here for a few months – but that’s the impression that I get of them.
(And now I’ll have that Mighty Mighty Bosstones song stuck in my head for the rest of the night… :smack: )

Wait, let me explain. We get a lot of tourists around here, and about 80% of the time, I can easily tell the Germans apart from the rest of the Europeans, without hearing them speak. I really don’t know how, but I’d’a picked you out easily. Of course, now you’re going to embarrass me by saying that you’re a British ex-pat in München, but I still think that you look German.
