Mick Jagger refuses to give up his hotel suite for GWB

You know, I’ve never been a Rolling Stones fan.

Until now.

Mick is awesome.

“Well, give me his room. He’s not coming.”

Hey (hey), Dubya (Dubya) get out of my suite…

Cool.

:smack: You are right… I am not a child of classic rock.

Almost nine hours late. Sorry, no cookies for you.

Mick certainly isn’t showing much sympathy for the devil.

Took me awhile to figure that one out – shame on me

mick!
Mick!
Mick!
Mick!
Mick!
Whhoooooo-ooo!

Loving Mick right now!

Oh, Bushie, don’t you weep, ‘cause I kept the hotel suite
I hate that sadness in your eyes
But Bushie…, Bushie, ain’t it time we said too bad?
With no booking in your name and no match to my great fame
You can’t have my hotel room
But Bushie, I can’t stand you, baby
Ev’rywhere I look I see your policy
There ain’t a president that comes close to you
Next time maybe try Travelocity?

::Holds up lighter::

When I was a little girl, I thought Reagan was God. Literally. My parents spoke of him in tones of respectful awe, and in trying to explain his position to my four-year-old self, they told me that he was the boss of everybody. Somehow, I decided that meant he was God and would sit, rapt, in front of the TV whenever he spoke, listening intently to the Word.

If Ronald Reagan is God, I have just one thing to say:

Hail Satan!

I’d have to say he was evil neutral or something.
Fall of the USSR and trickle down economics.

Why should he give up the room it wasn’t a Presidential Suite.

Meh, whatever.

I don’t see the Stones as having done something particularly big or significant. They’re wealthy and powerful in their own right; they happened to have a very very minor run-in with someone else wealthy and powerful and said “no.” Woo-hoo, all hail king Mick!

Who said it was big or significant? What forum did I post this in? I just thought it was amusing, that’s all. It’s not every day that a rock star (or anybody else) gets a chance to deny the President something he wants.

That’s Sir Mick to you, peon.

Bloody Americans.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Something tells me that if I had booked the hotel suite, they wouldn’t have called and asked if I wanted to give up the suite to either GBW OR that little squirrel, Mick Jagger.

It sucks having no leverage.
