Well then, Mulligan, are you able and willing to resume scouting duties?
Thoroncir, wincing, sheathes his longsword Cirist, sits down and thanks Ghan for any cures he can offer. If Gilraen has any left to give, he wouldn’t turn her down…
Gilraen’s Cure Light, Ghân’s Cure light and herbal cures bring Thoroncir to full.
The knight-errant rises, bows to them both and says wryly, “So frequently have I needed your ministrations these past four months that I fear I am running out of ways to express my gratitude… but yet again, many thanks, my Wose friend and my lady. I am indebted to you both.” After flexing his shoulder a few times and taking a deep drink of water, he is ready to press on.
I’ve just flushed a troll out of hiding, I think I’m fine to go back to scouting again.
Gilraen to Thoroncir, "You have gone so far beyond your duties in aiding the not only the Kingdom but also all the free people. It has been an honor to help such brave and valiant people as you and your friends. From the first, you rose without question or reward to go into uncertain danger. You rescued Anthar’s family and went further and helped foil an evil mages plot and turned up valuable information. So far you have yet to slow down. My thanks to all of you.”
Sir Thoroncir blushes and bows deeply to the lissome Princess of Gondor. He murmurs, “All that I have done, and all that I have yet to do, is because of both my duty and my love, O most royal lady. Command me; I am yours.”
While those two are gazing deep into each others eyes, I’ll go find something else for him to kill, so he can get injured and she can heal him again, so they can look deep into each others eyes again and spout bad poetry.
If all the rooms and passageways here have been checked out, I’ll be across the far side of that barricade.
We should all be so lucky, madam.

Peasants!
Updated map. The Red is the passages and doors below the main chamber that Elfstan & Miron found.
Mulligan finds the troll’s room empty of creatures once the smoke clears but extremely cluttered. Rags, furs, garbage and bones everywhere. There are dozens of sacks and boxes and crates.
A search of all that stuff might take awhile. Shall we press on, and see what’s on the other side of the barricade? If we meet up with friendly troops approaching from that direction, we can either explore one of the smaller tunnels on this level, or take the stairs down.
Ghân believes firmly in first clearing everything near where we entered, so we cannot be attacked from behind.
If the party agree, there’s a secret door and a passageway near the entrance to do first.
Ghân can do a Detect Magic in the Troll’s room.
Birds do it
Bees do it
Even educated fleas do it
Let’s do it, let’s fall in love…
“I agree. If an enemy goes to the trouble to hide a door, we should certainly make every effort to find out what is behind it. However, I should say that I don’t think it’s necessary to dig through every sack or open every crate.”
Thoroncir and Gilraen, sitting in a tree,
Kay-eye-ess-ess-eye-en-gee…
You know it’s difficult to tell in this torchlight, but are you two blushing?
I’m gonna go and look down the south corridor those Orcs fell out of. If some dwarves want to take apart that secret door so much the better.
Who wants to check out the northern passageways? Gil-Gandel, Elfstan, Brin, Miron. Perhaps Gwaelur and Bitur check out the doors down below with Hraedsig and some backup.
Have fun all.
The Dwarves have figured out the secret door. They know how to open it, that it is only 9-12 years old and goblin made. It is far too small for a troll as it is only 5’ tall and just shy of 2’ wide. It is also 6” off the ground.
Elfstan says, “There is much more to explore. We have all those doors down below.”
Rüdan adds, “We didn’t do more than find the first troll’s room my way when the alarm was given.”
Another Dwarf named Crin suggests, Maybe we should blow a signal horn to alert any nearby Dwarves we are here. Mine is fairly good.”
Crin is in charge of the wall at this time. He is experienced with the building and firing of such weapons.
That’s a good suggestion Crin. We won’t be able to give our position away to the enemy any more than we already have, we might as well warn our friends not to shoot us in the backs.
And since stealth seems to no longer be an issue, Bitur , Hraedsig would you like to explore the doors down below with me as Mulligan suggested?
Ok, so Hraedsig, Deor and four dwarves take the Secret Door.
I’ll take the open South passageway with Miron.
Rudan and a couple of dwarves head past the northern troll room and see what lies there.
Elfstan, Brin, Gwaelur, Bitur and Ghan take the passageway with the doors.
Gil-Gandel checks out the other northern passage.
Thoroncir and Gilraen keep the home fires burning
If you get into trouble, make some noise.
Make sense?
