Why the fuck would you call your daughter a slut infront of her sister and her boyfriend? Because you saw a picture of her sitting on my lap at a dance? She calls me crying and you have the nerve to tell her off? Shes fucking 16, she can make decisions. I love her, I know “Guys think with 2 heads” I don’t I think with one.
You know your other daughter? The suck up who always talks about how we shouldn’t be dating? She was fucking when she was 16. I would never touch my girlfriend like that. I’m a good kid but obviously you don’t see that. I hope you guys can come to your senses one day before your daughter becomes an emoitonal wreck. I brought her soup and tea when she was sick, you didn’t even take her to the doctors.
When I met you, you said you’re a man of honour, show it to me. You’re not even her dad. You are a very nice man but you really shouldn’t dictate your daughter’s life.
ARGH! I’m going to church in about an hour, when I’m there I might cry. But I know I’m going to pray for one thing and one thing only.
Let me add that you should keep it to opinions of their behavior, and don’t imply that you think your girlfriend should behave a certain way toward her parents or retaliate in some manner. You can voice your concern and opinion, but trying to drive a wedge between your girlfriend and her parents will only come back to bite you in the ass somehow, someday.
Sorry, just had to vent. Went to church, Feast of the Holy Family, nearly had to start crying during the sermon. I really don’t want a wedge in between all of us but I don’t think her parents listen to her. Sure, they might be looking out for the best interests but I think she should have some say.
I’m just pretty depressed (maybe too strong a word) about the whole thing, especially because shes really sad (from when she called to tell me what happened).
Parents (especially of teenagers 15 and up) often seem to have different ideas of what’s best for their children than their children do. Sometimes they don’t really listen to their kids and don’t realize that a 16-year-old is old enough to make his/her own life decisions.
God, I hate self-righteous people, especially people who make their siblings’ and other relatives’ lives hell, especially hypocritical ones (and most are, but this is a particularly bad case). I’m an only child, but it really frustrates me when people fuck up their siblings’ lives so they look like little saints.
