Coffee with heavy cream and stevia when I can get them. Alternatively will accept half and half and equal.
Tea with just a little sweetener.
I don’t drink coffee, regardless of what’s in it.
Coffee, in order of preference:
Milk/Cream and Sugar
Sugar
Black
Milk/Cream - I hate this taste, I don’t know why, it just is… flat?
Tea, in order of preference
Sugar/Honey
Plain
Honey and lemon
any kind of milk, don’t want it
The doc tells me to cut out extra sugar, so I’m trying to rock black coffee and plain tea exclusively.
Will add nothing to either tea or coffee. Why change the flavor profile? I don’t see adding sweetness to either tea or coffee as being positive additions.
I rarely have tea. The wife likes Earl Grey with sugar.
I take a bit of sugar and a splash of half & half in my coffee.
If this is about tea, either without anything or with a little sugar. Depends on my mood
NEVER MILK!
If this is about coffee, NEVER, EITHER WITH OR WITHOUR ANYTHING
I’ve cut down my sugar intake because I’m at home most of the time
and drink tea / coffee all day… so
Coffee : Decaff, black with milk and 1/4 tsp sugar + 1 sweetener.
Tea : Decaff, black with milk and 1 sweetener.
Hot tea was only ever drunk in my family for medicinal purposes, with honey and lemon. I haven’t had hot tea in decades. The only people IRL that I have ever seen put milk in hot tea are my British in-laws, and they drink it all day every day.
I sometimes keep a big pitcher of tea in my fridge and drink it unsweetened, usually with lemon. I order it that way in restaurants too.
Coffee is always strong and black, no sugar. I drink several cups in the morning and one or two after every meal.
I don’t mind hot tea but rarely drink it. When it comes to tea, it’s mainly iced tea for me. But if I were to be served hot tea, I’d want it with a bit of lemon and sugar, definitely not milk.
Coffee I consume with about a half teaspoon of sugar and ample amounts of half-and-half. Except cold brew coffee, which I consider a completely different product from regular coffee. Cold brew I like straight – hot, but with no sugar or cream. I cannot tolerate regular coffee black because it’s just too bitter, but cold brew is much more mellow, and somehow not compatible with cream or sugar.
Hot tea: black tea with a splash of half and half, plus one teaspoon of sugar. If I’m feeling fancy, I’ll add a teaspoon of malted milk powder.
Never developed a taste for coffee.
Hot tea gets a spoon of good honey, or sugar if honey unavailable.
Oddly, only the first pot of tea in the morning gets a splash of milk; otherwise I avoid milk in tea.
Iced tea is taken however it comes, except if it’s completely unsweetened I’ll put a small amount of sugar in.
No coffee.
Hot black tea, pretty strong and lots of it, with milk and stevia-based sweetener.
I don’t make iced tea at home, I only have it when we’re eating out, with sweetener.
Both black for me. Sometimes I do like cream with my coffee (especially if it’s mediocre coffee), but it needs to be hot cream or milk. This morning I had coffee at a cafe, and they provided a small pitcher of cold milk. Ugh. Nothing worse than turning a hot coffee into a lukewarm coffee.
Yes, if you could fix the poll – if’n it ain’t too late, sigh. And I agree, the move was a good one. My poor excuse for how I did it, too little sleep and forgetting how to make a poll. Must make a good strong cuppa tea now.
It depends on the type.
Instant coffee: milk and sugar.
Cappuccino/latte/etc.: sugar (the milk is built in).
Turkish coffee: just sugar. Also cardamom, if available.
Espresso: no milk, no sugar.
I don’t like filter coffee.
As for tea - usually just sugar, but I’ll put milk in Earl Grey or chai.
Polls are in. Hopefully they’re OK.
Not a tea drinker, except rare cases.
Coffee: Stevia and CoffeeMate, the powdered variant.
But of course. Finally, a thread worthy of the forum name! ![]()
We have over 306 coffee related threads.
Thus the tag for them to create something like a subforum of Cafe Society.
We take our Coffee pretty serious here at the Cafe.
Indeed.
