Hey, any BADs up for seeing Lewis Black in a coupla weeks?
He’ll be at the Punchline Comedy Club in downtown San Francisco, December 12-14 (Thu-Sat). Showtimes are 9 PM Thu-Sat and 11 PM Fri/Sat.
Ticket are $15 each. He’ll likely sell out, so buy your ticket as soon as you can.
The club itself is in the Embarcadero Center, off Market Street, easily accessible by BART and Muni, and oddly enough, there always seems to be street parking within five blocks. Let’s figure out what show would be best to go to, time-wise.
Respond here, or IM me on AIM with this name. Hope to see y’all here.
I don’t have any interest in seeing Lewis Black, but I’d love to get together beforehand with anyone who wants to have dinner or drinks. Thursday and Saturday work best for me.
pick a date, i’ll be there. (where the crap is Punchline? I’m semi-new here). email me and i’ll give you the email address i can check at home. (tomorrow, since i’m headed home in a few mins)
I’m up for it. Count me in for the crowd that’s largely uninterested in the show but always up for food and drink.
I’m working that Saturday, though. So, as much as I despise this behavior in my friends, I’m gonna pull an “I’ll-go-if-you-go” trick on this one. If there’s a real fest goin’s-on, I’m there. But if it’s gonna be mostly centered around the show, I’ll take a rain check and wait for the next BAD train to come along.
Maybe those of us who just want to meet should get together earlier, say 7? Then the people coming to the show can come around nine and continue on from there. That would probably make a nice overlap without anyone getting too worn out or sloppy, haha. Any ideas on the place? For all ages in the center itself we have: Chevy’s, Unos, and an Italian place called Fuzio, which is pretty good and makes a nice change of pace. (There might be others, but that’s what I’m familiar with.)
(PS, I have a sales booth at my friend’s church xmas bazaar on Sunday the 15th, so if you need anything let me know at least a few days before hand so I don’t have it all packed up and hard to get to. Anyone wishing to come directly to the “sale” and shop in person on Sunday is more than welcome to. Email me for the details.)
