Minneapolis/St Paul Dopers - Come see my play (it's Pratchett!)

With permission from C K Dexter…

Alrighty, folks, we officially open tonight. There’d been some interest when I posted about the show a while back. Time for a reminder!

Here’s the show info, the dates, how to reserve tickets, the works! If you want to come as a doper-group, we can do that… or come when your schedule works! Tickets are $12/grown-ups, $8/kids. The show is appropriate for all ages, but it does run long.

The Old Arizona is a fantastic little venue (they bake awesome cookies at intermission) which serves up great food, great tea, great beer and wine… and you can munch/drink in the theater itself. Matinees are pretty popular, so do book tickets. It’s a FUN little show, very tightly based on the novel, for the purists.

The Amazing Maurice… and his Educated Rodents
By Terry Pratchett
Adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs from the Carnegie Medal winning novel

Maurice is no ordinary cat. He’s amazing. He can think, he can talk…
and he has an amazing scam going. And all he needs to pull it off is
an army of intelligent rats and one stupid-looking kid. But when his
gang enter Bad Blintz, the town they have decided to con next, they
soon realize that all is not as it should be - and decide to
investigate. Three squads of rats spread out under the town, their
mission to dismantle traps, bury poison, do some serious widdling, and
to find out exactly what those resident rat-catchers are up to…

For those interested in who we are, and what we do… find out more here!

See you there, I hope! Come encourage a fellow doper and her crew of misfits!

If I lived in your area I would certainly be there.
Anyway here’s a bump for encouragement!

Thanks, Jake! It’s a great show… tis doin’ very well, too. Hopefully some doperfolk can make it out here to see.

I’d be there too if I was in the area. Break all four legs!

I have to put in a plug for Elenfair’s show since my cousin and I just saw it this afternoon. It really is charming, the kids do a GREAT job, Death is very, very , and the Rat King’s entrance alone is worth the ticket price. Even Aimee liked it, and she doesn’t like anything.

Also? MUST GET COOKIES! I have no idea how they make them so good but they’re freakin’ awesome (as is whatever food you get after the show). Once the post-show food rush is over Darcy will be more than happy to open up her tea and chocolate shop - I spent just a little too much money in there today. Again. She’s evil like that.

Anyhow. GO SEE!
