My eyeballs put the “L” back in there.
Thus recreating in spirit a classic Gilda Radner skit with Emily Litella commenting about Soviet Jewry.

Full disclosure: I misread Jewry as Jewelry too. And do again each time I see the thread in the list. Despite having read it.

I didn’t misread or misinterpret the word “Jewry” in the title myself. But if I’m looking at the word “Ashkenazi” from out of the corner of my eye, my brain subconsciously groups the last 4 letters together because they’re often used as their own word, except the effect never lasts long enough to become a misinterpreted or misread sentence.
