Yeah, I just posted this same thread in “misread thread titles”. But after I figured out what the title actually said I misinterpreted it, too. I took “humaning” to mean something kind of like “adulting”, as in “doing human things”. But after reading the thread I see that the poster meant something like fishing, but for humans.
Up until this point, I had assumed it meant “acting like a human” too, but then again I didn’t hover over or click the thread.

I actually posted in that thread and only JUST NOW did I understand the title. Thank you! Makes sense that most people didn’t direct their parents to choose any career, except maybe “Get a job so you can buy me baby food, ya deadbeats!” But some parents might have chosen their kids’ careers for them, or at least attempted to.
