I was watching TV with my mum the other day, when my little sister (in year 12 at high school) wandered in and asked if she would be allowed to go out that evening. My mum asked whether her homework was complete, and then expressed doubt about her “oh yes, we hardly have any” answer. She then replied:
Honest mum! I’m not trying to pull the wool over the doney’s ass
Mum and I both lost it. We’ve been teasing her ever since. And she still hasn’t figured out why what she said was so funny.
