Okay, I swear on the natural color of my hair that I DO have better things to do than post about Michael Jackson. (And I just contradicted myself by posting about him, didn’t I? :smiley: )

But I read the various news sections every day when I log on to my 'puter and featured today was a story about Jackson shopping at a mall in Bahrain. The title of the article indicated Jackson was spotted in a robe and veil, and went on to detail Jackson’s shopping expedition with the kids in Bahrain while wearing the veil and robe combination normally worn by women.

The article also said he “seems” to be settling down in the Persian Gulf (no, really?).

So, just looking for opinions and thoughts on this mildly interesting tidbit. My uneducated guess is that Jackson probably thinks America ungratefully bitch-slapped him so he’s going to hit the road and grace greener pastures with his presence. And not be anywhere near the U.S. if he can possibly help it - pesky child molestation charges and all. :rolleyes:

Yeah, I know he was acquitted. :rolleyes:

Well, as stupid as the subject is I couldn’t help mentioning the news clip I saw yesterday. He was wearing a burka with white socks, designer shoes, and sunglasses. His kids were also hooded (as per his usual habit). The locals were pointing at him and laughing. Not sure how stupid he appeared to them but to me he looked like a Halloween party reject. If he thinks the people in Bahrain are going to bow down to his eccentricities he is in for a serious reality check. He does NOT want to find himself accused of child molestation in that country.

Considering that he was strolling around in public dressed in women’s clothes, he probably was quite a sight. It’s hard to know what they were laughing at though…would they know all the details surrounding his life in the US, or were they just laughing at a silly Westerner who doesn’t know how to dress properly?
