This is textbook as to why you don’t play pitcher roulette. Maddon has two lights out pitchers on the bench out of the game, Chapman is exhausted and ineffective. What now? Fucking terrible strategy.

Lester cannot as he was in this game and was removed. Arrieta could pitch theoretically, but he started yesterday. He is likely as tired as Chapman.
