MLB. And here comes the Post Season!

Agreed that he shouldn’t have bunted, but the way that Baez has been so prone to swinging at crap I’m not sure he could have done anything other than strike out anyway.

And some good baserunning there on the deep fly.

Bryant juuuust missed that one. Heads up baserunning…

I’m glad I don’t have a dog in this game. It seems stressful

3-2 count. Hard to throw junk in that situation.

Sure, not complete junk. But my point was more that Baez has not been swinging well all series.

And the big RBI double!

So, how does Maddon screw up the pitching in the bottom of the 10th?

Hell yeah!!!

Damn!

So…who pitches the bottom of the 10th? It seriously can’t be Chapman again, right?

Zobrist is one of four guys in this Series I saw play in the minors–in his case short-season A ball. Nice to see him come through.

I can’t even with this game anymore.

I’m living and dying with every pitch

Question: (since I don’t watch many games) - does scoring typically get easier the longer the game goes on in extra innings, since the quality of pitchers is lower and/or the pitching arms are tired-er?

8-6!!!

I’ve said it before and shall once again: intentional walks are stupid.

…At this rate, Chapman might pitch more innings than Hendricks.

In truth this would require some research, but my personal impression is quite the opposite.

This is one of the best games I’ve ever seen. What a roller coaster.

Trevor Bauer?

Why?

I’m not RickJay, and will never claim to be, but I’ve watched my fair share of baseball over my 30 years of living.

This is single greatest game I have ever watched. Not necessarily because of quality or management or anything like that, but by each teams sheer force of will to not give up, to keep fighting no matter the situation, and just their nevergiveuptitute.

I’m so sad that one of these teams has to lose.

It can, but it often doesn’t go long enough to really be a factor. And, of course, it only takes one run by either team. It gets more interesting in the NL, because there are more defensive changes thanks to the double switch.

I remember the 18-inning game a couple years ago. It was hilarious–FOX (I think it was on FS1) kept running a crawl that their MMA coverage was currently airing on FS2 (which I got then, I don’t now on a different cable provider) during the game. It ran so long that they stopped running the crawl because the game went longer than the MMA coverage.

God, why was Hayward swinging at that junk?

yeah, THIS is a Game 7
