It’s unfortunate that with my hair being as short as it is, I can’t ever enjoy Great Sex Hair.
FCM, is it medicinal due to added ingredients, or medicinal because it’s chocolate?

Silly **c-bear ** - chocolate cake is medicinal because it is. Silly old bear!!
Silly donkeybear! Great Hair Sex can be enjoyed even with a buzz cut. Well… err… ummm… so I’ve heard.
Savannah it’s a casserole. Hmmm… we need a nickname here. How bout Savvy? A casserole is anything you put together in one dish and bake. Condensed soup is optional.
I made chicken 'n dumplin’s today. It was yummy! I steamed some broccoli to go along with it because, well, we must have our veggies after all. ACBG has gone back to his place to do some laundry and stuff. I sent leftovers home for lunch tomorrow and I got some for lunch tomorrow too. So, all in all, not a bad choice. I went to church this morning and left his lazy self in the bed. I’m in love with a heathen! That’s ok, cause he’s a cute heathen.
One of the side effects of a meal of chicken 'n dumplin’s is bad coding.
yep-cb --the closest you can come (no pun intended) is bedhead. Grow some hair, boy!
Back from Field Museum–why do people take babies to museums? Just asking.
We didn’t go to the aquarium, due to the one hour wait–IN THE COLD–to get in.
and I lost $20. I am very upset about this–I hate losing stuff and especially losing money!
It must have fallen out of my front pants pocket when I went to the loo. What with my coat, purse, shopping bag and guide to the museum, I didn’t notice it.
argh.
Think I’ll make more biscotti, since the stuff I made yesterday is loooong gone.
My house smells of chocolate cake. As soon as I post this, I’ll be slathering frosting all over it. Then after dinner, FCD and I shall enjoy it.
Too bad none of you live near me…
Just slide a nice hunk through the CD drive and I’ll be happy.
I think I’ma gone take me a nice hot jacuzzi bath in a bit. It feels like one of those kind of nights. Especially since I just put clean, just out of the dryer sheets on my bed. I might even need a glass of wine or two while soaking in the tub. Does that sound like a good idea?
Sounds good to me! Well, we didn’t fix the gate. The post will have to be replaced. We did put the gate back up so we could let the dog out, so that’s good anyway. We’ll relook the gate situation next weekend. I really, really, really didn’t want to have to dig up the post. It’s cemented in, so it’s going to be a pain. But, we have to because there’s not enough post left on the last 2/3s of it to grab the bolts for the hinges. Sigh…
I bought lemon poppy seed muffin mix. I was going to make them when I came home from the store, but hubby decided he wanted to make a pizza. It’s one of those pizza kits with the flour for making dough and the sauce. I bought the other stuff to put on top too. In my mind, it’s a little late for lunch, but I’ll just push dinner back to later, I guess.
Dinner is homemade chicken noodle bake. I have lots of leftover chicken boobies, so I’ll cut or rip those up into pieces and add some veggies to it. I’ll boil the noodles in chicken broth. Then I’ll whip up a homemade white sauce. The veggies will be peas, carrots, and onions. I’ll season everything up and it should be tasty.
Frankly, Savvy, the name you have is just fine. That’s what a lot of my dinners are: “Something I just cut up and put together and threw on the stovetop or in the oven”. I can be quite creative when I want to be, although these last few months I’ve been sort of lazy in the creativity department.
I’m going to cruise the SDMB before hubby kicks me off the 'puter.
I’m all bathed and wined. It was nice. Just thought I’d check in and report.
I’m balancing my checking account, preparing to do taxes. Anyone want to join me?
::crickets::
I’m deeply disappointed.

Hmm. Practically nothing I make has a real name. Yesterday we had spaghettini in a sauce made of chicken stock, parmesan, mushrooms, peppers, and rapini. With garlic and parsley. It was yummy. Names are overrated.
Tonight Mr. Lissar is making dinner. I am going to instruct him in the mysteries of hummus and I think we’ll have either cheese quesadillas or nachos with chili. Something warm. We’re going to do popcorn a little later.
We just walked over to my parents’ place and raided my Dad’s watercolours. I’m going to put some up mometarily. He’s becom a very good watercolour painter and he just piles them up in his painting room at home.
The cake was very good. And I got some waterproof bandages so FCD could take a real shower - I washed his hair and back for him, and he was able to reach the rest. He’s nice and clean and full of cake. Life is good.
Have fun with those taxes, GT!
I made spinach pie tonight. I don’t like to brag, but OMFG was it good. I got the recipe from a Greek kid I worked with at my last job - he brought in a spiral-bound recipe book from the Greek Orthodox Church women’s auxiliary. Straight from the source, in other words. There were three differenrt recipes, I’ve sort of mixed and matched my way into a truely fab spanokopeta. Heaven,
You’re not running out on us without sharing the recipe, are you, Smitty?
Accounts are all balanced. Need to make sure all my charity stuff is in order (I think I wrote down all the in-kind gifts; everything else is tracked in Money. I might do taxes tomorrow. Or I might wait till later in the week and only do fun, or at least non-money related, things tomorrow.
Gonna go read for a while.

I like being a Savvy.
Makes up for not being quite so savvy when I leave lights on, lock keys in, and throw temper tantrums over towels.
My plans to go for a tromp in the woods today turned into… an afternoon nap. I feel so lazy. Oh, well–that’s what a Sunday is for, sometimes.
Casserole it is.
Note that I said Great Sex Hair. Great Hair Sex is of course achievable.
