You all are no fun!
You know, participating in the forensics thread is starting to interfere with my cleaning.
I think it also might be The Feast of Maximum Occupancy today. That’s one of my favourite holidays.
I know what you mean. I actually went out to find pastrami.
But no ribs. Nope, no ribs today.
How are we no fun, Ellen? I like your house, too. It’s pretty.
Nonsense Ellie we’re lots of fun. We just live in strange places.
Yeah, I like my Germans that way too.
Rosie, short version is, ACBG and I went to a clothing optional campground for boys who like boys last Saturday for errr… ummm… recreational purposes. Gnat was upset that we didn’t tell him we were going. Truth is, just before we left, my phone rang and I saw on caller ID it was him but I didn’t answer cause I knew he was calling to fish for an invitation to come hang out by my pool, but we were going off and he would have asked why and where and if we had let him go he woulda hung on us all day and we were going to errr… ummm… “recreate” among other things. He can be a pest. I think this is all in my first post to this MMP.
Last visit before I shut the computer down. I’m all packed, the new memory card wokrs on the camera, so I have about 1.5 gigs, I am dressed and ready to go, and I packed a bag lunch for the plane since they charge you $5. Just wanted to say I’ll miss you guys! See you later!
so while you and ACBG were entertaining the muskrats and bunnies, I hope you were careful to avoid the poison ivy - and GnatMan needs to find his own co-recreator and stop buzzing you
We stayed on the well paved areas of the pool and umm… bath house the whole day. No muskrats, bunnies and poison ivy were to be seen. Besides, the sight of me nekkid woulda skeered the muskrats and bunnies.
He’s an ok person, it’s just that he’s kinda like a gnat, always buzzin’ around.
Taters, have we had any offers for our rain yet? I need a dry day or 4 to sand & paint cabinet doors! Mister Wanna won’t start fixing the drywall in the bathroom until I get them done & back on the cabinets to keep the dust out.
Rain, rain, go away, even though it’s not July 5th yet!
Am I going to be the first one to assk that rosie prove to all us straight guys that she’s a DD gal? Sheesh!
Mika have a great trip. Remember to bet $5 on #17 for me.
Okay, I’m gonna have to sign off for the rest of the day. This place has gone ballistic, and I just ain’t got the time to play (or vent in The Pit at losers) anymore today. I still gotta get ready for driving to Pittsburgh, too. So everyone has a good and safe weekend.
Not only is it an air compressor, it’s an industrial air compressor. At FCD’s last job in FL, he was responsible for shutting down the plant and selling off its equipment. And he got first dibs. He bought that compressor fo $100. Yes, a mere hundred. It is very cool. Except when someone forgets to throw the breaker and it kicks into action a 2AM, scaring the bedoobies out of us.
If you ever come visit up, you are welcome to go to the basement and rub on it.
Project update - we went to Lowe’s and spent $565 on a bunch of stuff. I just finished off the last of the white masonry paint we had - I managed to do the entire side wall, and around the back to the window. I think I can finish up with just one more gallon. FCD is messing with the plumbing. He’s trying to install a couple of 3/4 to 1/2 copper T fittings for the sink, toilet, and washer supply lines. I heard a lot of cussin’ and fussin’ while I was painting. But there was nothing I could do, so I came upstairs for a leftover pizza break. I’ll go back down in a bit to help him. More pics tonight, if only of the white wall. Tho once this plumbing issue is handled, we’ll start framing the room, and that should go pretty fast.
I love home improvement stuff!
Have fun on your trip, Mika. I hope you win big time!
Ellen, how are we no fun? I don’t get it. You have a lovely home, by the way. MBG, you do too. I’d post a picture of mine, but I can’t find one on my computer. Well, there’s one or two, but they don’t really show the house completely. I have some pictures on a disk, but the disk is at work.
Yawanna, I haven’t seen any takers for our rain. Speaking of July, I do not want it to rain the 4th of July week. We have camping plans up at Lake Kachess, and I want to be able to ski, wakeboard and tube!
I’ve had gnatty friends in the past. Thankfully, I don’t really see too much of them anymore. I know exactly what you mean, Swampy.
You know what’s worse though? Friends who act all miffed and hurt that you haven’t invited them to participate in something, like a BBQ or whatever. We quit inviting a set of friends to do something with us, because they always made excuses for why they couldn’t participate. So, we quit inviting them to do stuff. However, if they find out we’re doing something with someone else, they get all pissy with us. Cheeeeee-rist, they’re irritating.
Okay, I need to get back to my cleaning up. Unfortunately, I haven’t made that much progress because I keep sneaking back here. Also, I had to clean out a whole bag of stuff that was unloaded from my Explorer when we bought the Expedition. I had to sort through the “keep” stuff and the “toss out” stuff. That took awhile. But, it’s done and I can move on to other stuff now.
Now, see, Sean, now FCD has what you call an AIR COMPRESSOR! I bet he gets to blow up all the balloons for his family’s parties.
Have a fun trip Mika! Win lots of cash so’s you can take us all on a f-aaaaaa-bu-lous vacation, ok?
Have fun in Vegas, Mika. I recommend craps - especially if you find a place giving 100X odds!
Drive safe, Sean.
Incidentaly, here’s what my house looked like the day we took possession. The furniture on the porch and the ugly hanging baskets are gone (they were full of dirty fake flowers) but between the columns, I now have planters full of pansies. And the garden there is lush with hosta now. I haven’t taken a pic of the front since then.
HA HA HA HA HA ha ha ha ha ha …excuse me while I wipe the tears from my eyes. Of course it’s going to rain on the 4th of July. It always does, at least here in Portland (official Rainy Season: October 31-July 4). But, remember, we’ve always got August & September to look forward to, when everyone else is whining about their weather and ours is perfect!

I start the new assignment next Friday unless they call me in early. It’s two months for sure and could run longer. I guess I should finally break down and get a bank account here, huh?
Yay, Tel! Yeah, a bank account is better than stuffing cash into your mattress - not very comfy for sleeping.
