I got read a little more of the MMP so:
CONGRATS TO REBO AND RIGS! I’m so happy for the both of you.
I know the congrats are late, but I couldn’t really read the Dope in class.
My son just got home and was very happy to see me. He told me that he was glad my plane didn’t crash and gave me a giant hug.
My dog won’t leave my side. I guess he missed me too.
I guess I’m also making up for lost time in the MMP. Good grief!

Just got a call from FCD - he’s somewhere in Wyoming. They’re going across I-80. He said they just stopped at a truckstop for showers. Oh, the exciting life of a NASA contractor!!
It’s quiet and boring here, except when the cat jumps on me. She’s such a pest. She’s sitting on the arm of my desk chair giving me sad eyes. She misses her daddy…
Since then, the cat and the dog have gone somewhere to sleep. I’m thinking that’s a good idea. Nighty-night, all!
I tried posting links to the pics I took a few hours ago and the board kept eating my post. Hopefully, this time it will work.
At any rate, it seems I only took three pics of the gathering, so they’ll have to do until/unless welby posts his. I hope the pics that welby took show me in a more flattering light. I look awful in the picture that I’m included in.
I took a little bit of a nap, but I’m still totally wiped out. I think (I hope) that I’ll sleep well tonight.
My entire face feels like it’s filled with mucous. Good grief!

Sounds like MBG and rigs had a nice mini-MMP-Fest. I love the idea of a bigger get-together. Of course, you know that Rue actually hosts one of those annually. Only problem is that I don’t think any MMPers actually show up. Although I’m planning to be there this year. It’s next week! Yay! I’d totally go to the Chicago area for a fest, though… Haven’t been there in a while. Brother inconveniently doesn’t live there any more.

Hope Mika has a nice weekend visit with all that fabric…oh…and the future in-laws too; sounds like fun.

I’m thinking I’ll be planting containers in the garage this weekend. It’s supposed to rain every day through next Friday. I’m hoping that’s true as I have more container planting early next Saturday morning and then I’m headed to Rue’s fun time picnic camping thingy, which would be ever so much nicer without rain, I’m sure. (For one thing, grilling is easier when it’s not wet out.)
Had lovely non-traditional spaghetti carbonara for dinner. With Monterey Jack cheese. And avocado (because it was on hand and tastes good with bacon). And chives. So, any ideas on what I should do tonight? Laundry maybe.
Board weirded out on me for a second. Got a message that this was a dup when I tried to resubmit, but my post isn’t there. Really. I even opened a second tab and looked at the MMP again. So I’ll try again. ::crosses fingers::

I had one, count it, ONE drink today. I usually go a month or so without any kind of alcohol. However, when I go out, I sometimes like to have a drinky-poo, especially that night. See the story below:
I forgot to tell all of you about the lady in my class who was driving me batshit insane. She was driving EVERYONE, including the instructor, insane.
She JUST. WOULD. NOT. SHUT. UP! She was a know it all, who knew nothing. She kept trying to question the data we were using. The data was “dummy” data fer crissakes! We told her that over and over. She kept talking over the instructor. As we would work on an exercise as a class, with the instructor leading, she kept talking aloud and I couldn’t hear the instructor. Then she’d “play” with whatever report we had created, get lost, screw it up, and then we’d ALL have to wait while the instructor helped her out of her latest jam.
Unfortunately, she was sitting right next to me. I think I ground my teeth down to nubs. There was another lady sitting on the other side of her who apparently had just had the most she could stand from Chatty Cathy. You know how you keep saying something in your mind, over and over again? Well, this very nice lady kept saying SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP! in her mind, but one of those SHUT UPS escaped her mouth. It was hilarious. The whole class stopped for about a split second, even the instructor. Chatty Cathy said, “Shut up? What are you talking about?”. GAWD!

Taters, for some reason I can’t see the pics. I’m sure they’re lovely, though. Maybe tomorrow my computer will work better.
I’ve been finding odd bug bites on myself. I’m a little weirded out because a co-worker got sick yesterda after waking up to find seven or eight spider or centipede bites just under his armpit. And I know someone else with infected spider bites. Augh. Gnats? Spiders? Early mosquitoes? I dunno.
Today I have swept, vacuumed, mopped, done laundry, and scrubbed the kitchen and the bathroom. I will now eat something dinner-ish and flake out until bed, which will probably be about two.
Hmmm, that’s two of you. I just clicked on the link to make sure it still works, it’s working fine for me. Does the page even come up for you?
I guess a few more of you are going to have to click on it and let me know if there’s a problem.
Very odd. I’m posting from my PC now. I’ve looked at the link using Explorer, Firefox AND Opera and can’t see the actual pictures. I can see the page. I can see the captions. There are squares where the pictures should be. In Safari, there are question marks in the squares. In Firefox there are these colorful little squares in the upper left-hand corner of each square. In IE all I see is a blank square. Even tried turning off the pop-up blocker. No pics.
I WANNA SEE THE PICTURES!!!::stomps feet::
Never had this problem before; no idea on how to fix it, either. Hopefully someone will come by with a fix suggestion soon.

hoooookay…Undid the pop-up blocker in Firefox and I was able to see the pics. I guess they must have changed something on the msn.groups site.

I think I look dorky because one eye is kind of half shut in the picture, like I’ve been drinking or something. I had ONE drink folks. A teeny-tiny little drink which was more lime juice than vodka, I swear.

Since the damned hamsters were on strike last night, y’all missed the story of Vunderwife and I submitting the mortgage application for the new VunderLair. It had wit, ithad humor, it had pathos, it had moments of terror. It even had bouncing boobies and tight butts, because we stopped at Hooters for dinner on the way home.
I’m up early on a Saturday, because I’m on the way to the hospital for routine bloodwork. It’s one of those 12 hour fast thingies, too. I don’t eat much anymore, but nobody screws with Bobbio’s breakfast.
Hey, look at me up and posting before 7 AM! I just looked at the pictures and awwwwwwww! Everyone looks cute. Hmm, **Taters **doesn’t look like a potato at all.

I had a pretty good night’s sleep, amazingly enough. In fact, I woke up around 5:30, somewhat surprised that the cat didn’t make her usually middle-of-the-night visit. Naturally, I decided she must have died in her sleep, but when I turned the TV on, she joined me, standing on my chest so I couldn’t see the screen. Ever the pest.
I’ll be leaving in a few minutes for Annapolis - it’s Clay Day!!! I’ll learn how to put handles on the mug and the pitcher that I threw in earlier classes. I just hope they didn’t dry out too much, since we had no class last week. When I get home from class, I’ve got a bunch of chores - especially the kitchen. I also need to to some grocery shopping, and I’d like to stop at the farmer’s market to check out the veggies - I think I can do that on the way home.
