She is speaking lines written by writers presumably older than five. And her snarky/sarcastic/worldly comments are also not typical of a five-year old anyway.
One more thing and then I’ll shut up on this subject: out of, say, seven lines she has per show, I’d like one of those to be a sweet-little-girl-cute-non-sarcastic-non-snarky line. I would like the adult writers to round out her character more than it currently is by giving her an OCCASIONAL cute/sweet/loving comment.

She is SOOO cute in that picture!! What a sweetheart. If I were her mom/agent, I’d protest that the writers are making her CHARACTER into a five-year old cranky bitch with no normal little girl lines. Even Sophia on Golden Girls got to be a sweet and loving mom/friend about 10% of the time and got the choicest bitchy lines the other 90%.
(One of the best: Blanche comes in wearing a new dress and asks Sophia what she thinks of it. Without looking up from her book, Sophia says, “What difference does it make? In half an hour it’ll be lying crumpled on the floor next to a half-empty bottle of Jack Daniel’s.”)
She’s occasionally got to be a cute little girl. Like the episode where she started kindergarten, and got in a fight with the lesbians’ son, then they locked themselves in her room - “I love him!”
That was a very funny scene. I’d like more of that, please.
Lily’s snark at the end was the only thing funny about that entire Cam/Mitchell/Elizabeth Banks story.
