What did you guys think about last night’s episode?
I liked it. I like any Phil-centric episode. The only weak part (IMHO) was the Big Sister story line.
“You can kiss my wife, you can take her to bed, but only I can make her laugh.”
“No, wait, let me start again - only I can take her to bed and make her laugh.”
I don’t get why Greg Kinnear didn’t kiss Phil. He kissed everyone else, including another guy.
I was wondering that, myself. I figure he just didn’t really like Phil.
“Good to see you, Betty-Luke”. Luke smiles awkwardly for the camera.
Just finished watching it and I’m still giggling as I type this.
And Sofia Vergara was in fine form for this episode. Her facial expressions crack me up.
What other guy? His son? That’s very different than kissing an unrelated adult male.
For some reason, everyone in the confessional commenting on Manny’s horrible friend Danielle cracked me up.
I enjoyed watching Jay enjoying lawyer jokes. What was the one, something like “What do lawyers use for birth control? Their personality.”
I loved the little kitchen ballet that Cam and Gloria fell into at the end, with the kick-flip closing the oven door.
“When I tell that joke, I don’t mean you. You don’t have to worry about anyone getting pregnant.”
Yeah, that was a great line!
I was a little shocked that Luke was willing to do a “photoshoot” as “Betty-Luke” for his parents, after his sisters forced him into that getup! Still, a quite funny scene!
I didn’t realize that was his son. I think I thought the little old lady was a little old man. As a little old lady myself, I know we can cause some confusion.
Betty Luke is so gonna burn the house down.

I really like it whenever they put these two together. Stonestreet and Vergara really click on-screen for whatever reason. One of my favorite scenes ever was when they went to her old neighborhood and he ate the spicy dish to impress her.
What did he say – something like “I think I’ve swallowed the sun!” ? Funny!
Luke might have gotten the best line: “I can still hear you, and I don’t like where this is going.”
Good God Almighty; Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara are both so freaking hot… but there’s something about the character of Claire Dunphy. I hate to ‘say’ it out loud, but I think it’s that she’s kind of bitchy makes me have these carnal thoughts about her; and stupid Phil doesn’t recognize what he has! hubba hubba
Phil Dunphy might not recognize what he has, but Clive Bixby definitely does. “I… respect my wife too much to do the things to her that I’m going to do to you.”
