The situation between C&M and Jay’s friends has come up a handful of times. Jay usually blames his uncomoftableness (is that a word) on trying to explain his gay son to his friends while Mitchell says he’s just saying that because he’s [Jay] is the one that’s uncomfortable. Then they get into an argument about how far Jay has come, how bad he handled Mitchell coming out of the closet and look where he is now, and why isn’t he allowed to be a little squicked out by it…it’s who he is.
I think Mitchell is right. I think Jay’s friends would be okay with it, just as okay as Jay is. That it’s just fine, but they’re a little squicked out, but so what.
The last time it came up, Mitchel said Shorty was gay.
