Hoping it’s as good as the last Halloween episode. According to my local newspaper, tonight’s ep focuses on Claire’s obsession with Halloween…again!

Didn’t we see what they did for Halloween last year and it didn’t involve bloody Claire? Wasn’t it last year when Gloria was trying to remove her accent? Come on continuity editors! WORST EPISODE EVER!!

Funny episode. Lilly had some funny lines. And, the whole thing with Jay and Sam was cute. Also, Gloria pegging Manny was funny. OH! I also liked the angel and devil arguing.
The Bull flashing was a bit over the top and not especially funny.
By far, the best part was the family haunting the house and Phil claiming he wasn’t scared at all. Funny scene, and funny punchline to the scene.
What did Lilly say at the end of the scene in her bedroom when Cam and Mitchell talked to her about her mother?
Who was the woman in red chatting up Jay at the party?
Just a friend of Cam and Mitchell’s… And not a woman.

Did anyone else notice that the bull & matador is also the 2 kids on the vanity card at the end of the show?
Did anyone notice the Angel and Devil talking to Manny on each shoulder?

That house Phil was showing was honestly creepy.
The interiors looked a lot like the haunted house from last season’s “American Horror Story”. Maybe a redress of some of those sets?
The man in drag said something at the end of his scene along the lines of “I usually finish off getting ready with a bit of a tuck” or some such - AFAIK, a bit of drag queen inside baseball.
Overall, really didn’t like it - didn’t have enough Modern-Family Magic to overcome the tired plots built on standard sitcom tropes.

That was hilarious, along with the angel/devil bit - as long as there are gems like that in these episodes (especially from Lily, of all the characters!), I’ll keep coming back.
Apparently I didn’t like it either. I posted my second post, moved from computer chair to couch so I could give MF my full attention and promptly went out like a light!
Jay knew. He just didn’t mind.

I totally don’t think Jay knew about the drag queen. But even if he did know, he would still have enjoyed all the ego massaging being done.
The show did give me an idea for my Halloween costume; I can go as a lemon!
Agreed. (I enjoyed it enough, but not enough to re-watch for the exact line) He said a few things that made it clear that he was aware that it was a drag queen, but that he was also in the state of mind to take flattery where he could get it.
I also loved the angel and devil and appreciated that they didn’t explain the joke, they just let it sit there.
