Not related directly to the episode, but last week I caught a segment on Jimmy Kimmel called “Modern Family Feud”. It pitted Lily, Alex and Haley actors against the Luke and Manny actors. Kimmel’s sidekick, a security guard, filled in on the boy’s team.
What I found most interesting was that the kid that plays Luke seemed to be far and away the brightest bulb of the bunch, which is pretty much opposite of his character.
Haley may be 22 in real life but isn’t she still just 19-20 on the show? Was kind of surprised that the underage part wasn’t mentioned with the beers (especially if she then called Gloria to admit to having broken them).
Depends on if she ever got held back in school or not. Last year she started college putting her at 18 or so, so she’d be 19 or so now. But if she ever flunked (possible with how they portray her) she could potentially be older.
Didn’t Cam boast in an early episode that he’s the dodgeball champion because he could throw a ball through a sheet of plywood, or something to that effect? Surprised he had so much trouble with the strongman/bell ringy thingy.
From what I know of that game, it’s not so much about strength as it is about leverage and hitting the hammer at just the right spot to get the best bounce. You’re supposed to aim for the front edge of the thingy (what would you call that?).
Even so, I would have much preferred they stayed the course that despite Cam’s sexual orientation and stereotypes thereof, he actually is quite capable and masculine. I would have liked it much better if he wrecked that hammer game.
I’ve decided it’s mostly just bad costumes. They need to stop having her wear unbuttoned plaid shirts and other styles that heavy people use to look better.
