"Mommy, isn't he just *dreamy*?"

I forgot all about Dr Doolittle (Rex Harrison). I had a Dr D lunch box when I was 6…
 (I also loved him in My Fair Lady, but couldn’t understand why he and Eliza didn’t kiss at the end! ).

My first movie crush was on Val Kilmer in Real Genius. I vividly remember having actual heart palpitations! I wanted to go to that school so badly.

I just remembered another early one, Angelique, the witch from Dark Shadows.

Uh, as a young thing, I kind of had a thing for Man at Arms from He-Man. I don’t know why, but he figured heavily in early fantasies.

In literature, I was head over heels for Mr. Rochester for ages.

Makes sense. He was the only male in that cartoon who wasn’t evil, stupid, gay or elderly.

I suppose my pre-teen gaydar was up and running.

Also, at a slightly later date, Brisco County Jr. was a MAJOR HOTTIE. In case you didn’t already know that.

Peter O’Toole, for me, when I saw Lawrence of Arabia. I was sixteen and loved those blue eyes.

Mine was Ari Meyers, the other daughter on Kate and Allie.

Really, other than the two hot daughters, there was no earthly reason for a 14 year old boy to be watching Kate and Allie.

Edited to add photo proving my impeccable taste in women even as a 14 year old. Yowza!

I had a crush on Spock too (and Sarek) in junior high. The whole cool, unemotional, super-competent thing did it for me quite nicely. Though I have to admit I was not only not turned on by the episode where he took his shirt off (“Patterns of Force,” for those who care) but I was actively going, “No, put it back on. I like you better clothed.” Go figure. :stuck_out_tongue:

My crush from Emergency was Dr. Brackett. I had a tendency to go for older guys when I was a teenager as well–the young “teen idol” guys never did anything for me, especially since it seemed like they were all blond and pouty-lipped, and I always went for dark-haired guys with thin lips. Especially if they had that kind of “cold and dangerous” thing going on.

I had a serious thing for George Hamilton in “Love at First Bite.”

Oh my god, that was beautiful.

Am I really only the second hetersexual male born in the early 60’s that thought Laurie Partridge was the be-all end-all of feminine charm and beauty???

What is wrong with you people?
