Thanks for the great time, can’t wait to come again!

You got more sleep than that. At least three hours, if the number of times Mnementh tried to kill you in your sleep is any indication.
Did I say that out loud?
Mnementh and I, that was meant to say.
Don’t you hate it when you preview, click ‘Submit’, and then notice the mistake? :smack:
I wasn’t asleep that whole time. Trying to sleep, but the cartoons were distracting. I was asleep maybe half that time. well, maybe a bit more, but not much. I jsut learned to ignore you.
Man. Montreal kicks some pretty serious ass. I may have to overrun it and make it my own. Turn it into a Leafs town, or something.
Just watch out for those 13-year-old girls who are going to kick your ass.
First batch of pictures!
Funny captions will soon follow, but darn it! It was a loooooong drive home and I’m tired! Post-sugar-high crash!
Dream on, Leaf-boy. Montreal stays Canadiens.
Like we don’t have big enough of a job defending Toronto from the tourists
Anyhoo, are you children ready for part III of SugarDope II ? If you’re not I don’t care, here it comes anyway
So, Sunday morning, Montreal City. We had agreed on the previous evening to gather at Chez Cora (a breakfast restaurant) for noon. After two days of carousing heartily, the energy level was a bit low, so instead of arriving in more-or-less organized groups, we dribbled in the restaurant (one here, one there, another a little bit later, etc.). To make it short, here is the order of arrivals :
kung fu lola,
Mnementh, detop
JeffB
followed a little bit later by Daerlyn
then matt_mcl, clayton_e and wolfstu.
MIAs : scott evil, Eats_Crayons.
So after settling down we ordered the food (Hmmm, I sense a theme here, maybe next year’s motto should be “It’s all about the food !”) and proceeded to stuff our face again. Portions were large, good and varied. After leaving enough time for the food to settle down, we waddled to Old Montreal to visit the Notre-Dame basilica. That was needed. Nothing like a little exercise after a big meal. We unexpectedly managed to arrive just as an English tour of the church was about to start, so we decided to take advantage of it. After the tour, kung fu lola decided to go to the gift shop to see if they had any chocolate popes[sup]TM[/sup]. Unfortunately, they were all out. So, since it was getting late in the day, the group broke up and we headed each one of us our own way.
THE END
roll credits
But is it truly ? Be sure to catch SugarDope III : Attacks of the Ninja Crepes, coming to a “cabane” near you in March 2005.
Between now and then, of course, there will be Doperéal 3D in August. Less clothes, more action. Feel the heat.
Alas, as much as Doping would have been fun, I did need to spend some time with my pseudo-sister, Technicolor_Yawn. We haven’t seen each other in a couple of years and we also had to get some family papers order (really, since we can’t adopt her officially into our family, we had to do “power of attorney” and all that jazz.)
So it was a thrilling day discussing legal stuff.
Anyone else have pictures of SugarDope yet?
Like the one of the drag queen in the dinosaur costume?
Now that I’ve had a full day to recover, I just wanted to say a big THANKS to scott evil and detop for organizing and hosting another great Sugardope. I had a lot of fun, including my first ever trip to a karaoke bar. It was good to see some Dopers again and to meet some others for the first time.
I’m definitely going to try to make Doperéal this year.
I concur. SugarDope II was a resounding success. How 'bout a LongSaultDope next? You can all sleep in my apartment, and we can go to the tiny library, and, uh… hmm. No? Okay.
You know how at Scout Camp you get a badge that says Petawawa Cuboree '87 or whatever for showing up? I want a SugarDope badge to sew on my Doper Campfire Blanket. Well, actually, I don’t have a blanket, but maybe I’ll just add it to my sig or something.
Big thanks to detop and scott evil. Also to matt_mcl who kindly and stubbornly lent me his bed.
Now, now. I didn’t do anything.
detop deserves all the credit.
I just kvetched in this thread so that it looked like I was doing something. I can’t get away with that when Doperéal planning time rolls around.
wolfstu: I hope he slept on the couch. The trollop!
Then special thanks for detop. It all seemed to go pretty flawlessly.
(I mean there were Mapquest maps and everything so out-towners-wouldn’t get lost!)
Glad to hear that everybody had a good time
So we can count on seeing you all again at the next Montréal Dopefest then
He did. He was stubborn that he’d take it, and not me.
was a perfect gentleman
Lady, more like.
So… any of you with digital cameras got pictures available yet? I saw Eats_Crayons’ link up there…
C’mon! I’m already forgetting what you all look like!
How about if I ask really, really nicely, and, uh, sing a song or something?
