If Mnementh goes I’ll MAKE my boss give me three days off and to heck with my parents’ “Everyone on the Intryweb wants to kill you,” I’ll stay with anyone who’d put me up for the night (Heck, I was almost allowed to stay with LaurAnge last time). I owe Mnem a matchbook. Not that the rest of y’all aren’t scintillating reasons for visiting, of course.
Having Mnem there could also help if the snow is really deep. Someone’s gotta be able to see over the drifts…

hehe Harli, maybe we could, maybe… There are a few people here from the Kitchener/Waterloo area, as well as all the Torontonians (Torontonites?)…I am NOT someone capable of planning a Dopefest (I am quite disorganized in the time dimension). I missed TorDope this summer due to a prior commitment, but I would like to attend one one of these days…
My schedual is like the tides, ie: they turn. But I’d much rather the weekend after St. Patty’s than that weekend, as I have a lot of local drinking on the 17th to do.
I’m all for Sugarin’, but I would advise the American Dopers to NOT tell customs officials that they are bringing maple sugar into Canada or vice versa. I’m pretty sure it’s considered produce, and those greedy inspection officials may TAKE your syrup.
Hey, side note: when I was little, the local mape sugarer would boil hotdogs in the sap vat and then give them to you to eat. When I was little, it was delicious. As I grew, I became increasingly horrified with the fact that he was selling hot doggie maple syrup. Is this an isolated incident, or is this a Sugaring Staple?
Well, SwimmingRiddles it might still have been maple water at that point (it has to boil for several hours at 217F). I had never heard of this, so your experience might have been a first. Also everything points to a spring equinox (22-23) Sugardope.

My mother (she gets to call the shots because I haven’t moved out yet) won’t let me go to Montreal unless I bring someone else with me. If we do this the weekend of the 15th, I can bring Vince, and he’ll just need a place to crash - if it’s the weekend after that, he can’t go, and I don’t know who I could bring in his place.
I’m definitely interested. I’ve been hoping to get to a Montreal Dopefest one of these days.
