Might I suggest you push the reservations at Reuben’s back to 8:30 or 9? I know I’m more likely to make it to the evening activities if I’ve had a nap or at least some time to rest.
I hope detop (Grand Marshal of Sugardope) doesn’t mind, but here’s a list of those who have expressed (or kind of hinted at) interest in coming. detop takes his Dopefests seriously. I figured I’d dip my toe back into the 'fest-planning pond for a second to help out.

If you’re talking about driving around Montreal and so forth once eveyone is there then I can offer a car. I don’t know my way around Montreal at all, but so long as someone who does know is in the car with me it’s fine.
We need to set a place and time to meet Saturday to get the convoy going…
OK, this thing starts tonight. I’ve been in touch with detop, who’s been busy, so to help out I’m posting the details.
Friday dinner: Da Giovanni’s, 572 Ste-Catherine East (Berri metro), 8 PM. No reservations. Umm… I guess I’ll make up an SDMB sign or something, in case we have newbies. The last time I was at Da Giovanni’s, there was an express pizza part on the right, the restaurant proper on the left (it might have changed). In any case, we’ll be in the restaurant.
Saturday sugaring off: **Cabane à sucre l’Hermine**, 212 Rg St-Charles, Havelock. Our reservation is for 2:30 PM. To get there, meet at the exit of the Lionel-Groulx metro by 12:45. We’ll pile into cars and head out.
Saturday dinner: Reuben’s, 1116 Ste-Catherine West, 7:30 PM. I believe the reservation is under the name Cecil Adams - I’ll check.
Then off to Vocalz, 1421 Crescent.
I’m leaving in about 2 hours for Montreal so this is the last time I’m checking this thread possibly (not sure if my host has an internet connection). I will see you at Vocalz Saturday night! I have a feeling I’ll know right away who the dopers are when they arrive.
