Do you wear one?
Yep, for the last four years, as part of a moustache-goatee combo platter.
Bushy or trimmed?
It covers my entire upper lip, but that’s it. I generally try to keep it trimmed. The goatee I let grow longer, somewhere between beatnik and Jesus.
**Why did you grow it? **
Honestly? I was bored, and I worked at a job where my appearance didn’t really matter. I gave it a try, and ended up liking the way it looked (as did my wife, which probably contributed more to my keeping it).
Might you get rid of it soon?
No plans to do so.

Do you think they look good on most guys?
By themselves, not really
My wife occasionally suggests that I shave it off, but changes her mind pretty quickly when I remind her how I looked before I grew it.
Moustache and beard. Grew the moustache in high school for a number of reasons.
a) It grows fast. So it always looked like I forgot to shave.
b) This was in the days of the double-edge razor. Didn't handle the contours well.
c) Shaving cream makes me sneeze. Sneezing while shaving with a double-edge razor -- not a great idea.
Not going to shave it anytime in the near future.
I guess “bushy” is the best description.
After a hurricane knocked out electricity (and hot water) for a few days 20 years ago, I grew a full beard. Probably makes me look older. I don't think about it that much. Mostly it's just convenient -- saves lots of time shaving.
I grew them when I was 17, mostly because I was really jazzed that I could grow a beard at that age and have it look good. I know it looked good because my mom fought the idea tooth and nail until it actually came in, and then she gave it her unconditional approval.
Every once in a great while, I wonder what I look like under the beard. But I still haven’t broken down and shaved it off in over 2 decades.
Moustache and beard; the beard is very thin running along my jawline, and expands a bit under my chin.
Bushy or trimmed?
Trimmed very short, mostly; sometimes I get lazy.
Why did you grow it?
Goes with the beard. I grew that to look older (I was getting carded routinely at 27, and it was embarassing my 47-year-old SO). Now I keep it because I like the mass it adds to my chin and the definition it adds to my jaw.
Might you get rid of it soon?
No.

I really couldn’t care less, so I have no opinion.
I grew mine in 1974, when it was hip. Shaved it off in '91; grew it back six months later. I’ve reluctantly come to the conclusion that it’s no longer hip; I guess I fall into the state trooper/Tom Selleck wannabe/Village People category. But the only reason I even think about shaving it is that it’s turning grey faster than my head hair.
Do you wear one?
I have worn a moustache for about twelve years now.
Bushy or trimmed?
Trimmed. It used to be larger than it is now, but I saw myself on TV when my neighbor was shot (long story) and it looked too big. Now I am more careful about trimming it.
**Why did you grow it? **
Wanted to see what it looked like. Most of the men in my family have facial hair, and I was the last to try it. I quit shaving my upper lip at the start of a vacation, and here I am.
Might you get rid of it soon?
No.
I shaved it off once, and my daughter, who was three at the time, saw me and started crying and wouldn’t go near me for two days. The 'stache stays.
Do you think they look good on most guys?
Depends on the guy, I suppose. Handlebars look silly, as does the beard with no moustache look. Unkempt beards look bad in general, IMO.
My son wants me to grow a Van Dyke. Not likely. Nor a soul patch, which is his other idea. He is fifteen.
Closely trimmed/cropped Fu Manchu - To hide a small mole (the male version of a beauty mark) on my jawline.
TMI: Whether the Brush, Dali, Fu Manchu, Handlebar, Hitler/Chaplin, Military or the Zapata style; if you learn how to strategically wash around your m(o)ustache the following morning - you have yourself a flavor saver.
Q: Why do the majority of Italian teenage boys grow a mustache?
Do you wear one?**
Yes, through right now it accompanies a full (though neatly trimmed) beard. Bushy or trimmed?
I trim it whenever the proper use of a water fountain requires the application of a bath towel to prevent dripping, or when the near-swallowing of my upper lip interrupts an otherwise pleasant meal. In general I wear a fairly short handlebar.
**Why did you grow it? **
Grew my mustache originally back in college just to see what it would look like. I always thought it too thin and mangy, but my GF liked it. Plus it tended to annoy my family, so I kept it for four years. When my GF broke up with me I shaved it off.
When my wife and I split up two years ago, I grew it back. Went to visit some college friends recently who drew me aside in a confidential manner and told me never to shave it off again. Might you get rid of it soon?
The beard, maybe. I grew it for a theater role. Doesn’t look half bad as long as it’s trimmed, and I kind of like the speckles of premature gray. When I decide to shave it off will all depend on how long it takes before I get tired of shampooing my face.
The mustache, though, I’m keeping.

I have no opinion on the matter. I’m not in the habit of rating the attractiveness of other men’s faces, hirsute or otherwise.
I had a full beard for about 25 years, now an on-again-off-again goatee, but the 'stache is permanent (my partner likes it, and I like his).
I think about 99% of guys look better with a 'stache or goatee (never a chin beard without the 'stache, unless you’re Mormon or a post-menopausal woman). A smaller percentage look good in a beard.
I don’t know why people today are so anti-hair. Clipping body hair? Feh! Trimming eyebrows? Double feh! I can’t wait for that fad to pass.
