Movie Connections -- a game. (here there be spoilers)

Today I recieved three movies I had ordered from Amazon.com. They were:

[ol][li]Lord Love a Duck (© 1965)[/li][li]How To Murder Your Wife (© 1965)[/li][li]Hi, Opal![/li]And
[li]Bedknobs and Broomsticks (© 1971)[/ol][/li]
I noticed that there were some coincidental links between the three movies (apart from two of them having been made in 1965). Lord Love a Duck was written, produced and directed by George Axelrod, while How To Murder Your Wife was written and produced by George Axelrod. Roddy McDowell played a character in both Lord Love a Duck and Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

It occurred to me that there are a lot of movie connections of this sort, where script, plot, characters, actors, writers etc., occur in multiple movies. The point of the game is this, using the above (and subsequent) movies, list one from your own collection (or recollection) and point out its connection to the others. No repetitions are allowed unless a completely different connection is found than the first one. Movies with identical titles are disallowed if one was a remake of the other (too easy).

Warning!
Since this game may result in spoilers being listed as the connection between two or more movies, I suggest you stop reading right now and leave the thread if you don’t want to risk being spoiled unexpectedly. If you discover a key movie fact in this thread which spoils the whole thing for you, it’s your own fault.
End warning.

Well, how about this:

Ruth Gordon (who appeared in LLaD) and Sam Jaffe (who appeared in B&B) were both nominees for the 1950 Academy Awards, along with…

William Holden, who was in another George Axelrod film Paris When It Sizzles.

Honestly, though, I’m not sure if that’s what you had in mind, but your instructions/criteria are a little confusing.

I suppose I was momentarily dazzled by the coincidental linkage between the movies I had recieved that afternoon. You’ve got the right idea, but upon reflection, the game, as explained (however confusingly) is just too easy.

Restated, the rules are: Just pick any fact about a movie that has been listed in this thread that also applies to a movie not already listed. State what the listed movie is, the ‘connected movie’, and what’s the connection.

Still too easy. Is there any way this basic premise can be refined into a challenge worthy of Dopers?
