sigh I’m not sure if this should go here or in Cafe Society, but since it’s a poll I’m starting here.
The question: Are there any “fictional” relationships (I’m thinking love, although parent-child or sibling or friend would be interesting, too) which you have found to be particularly inspiring? Any you’ve modeled your relations after, or wish you could?
This has been on my mind because I am watching “Field of Dreams” for the umpteenth time. A former boyfriend of mine first watched that movie with me and pointed out how much he loved the relationship between Annie (the wife) and Ray (the main character). He was onto something, and I sorta filed away the things about her I liked when it came to her attitude and her interaction with her husband. It sounds cheesy to say it “inspired” me but really that is the most accurate way to describe it. Whenever I rewatch that movie, I think about that.
Anyone else?
