“Shoot straight you bastards. Don’t make a mess of it!” - Breaker Morant
You lost me on that one, pal.
“The horror! The horror!” - Colonel Kurtz, Apocalypse Now
Which, now that I think about it, should be accompanied by the final lines of Doctor Kurtz from Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death:
“All right, I was exploiting the Piranha women. You don’t know what it was like. David Letterman, God, the horror… the horrow of that show… the horror.”
Raise your hand if you knew that Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death was based on Heart of Darkness.
I think his very last line was “Go ahead! I take all you f$#@in’ boolets!”
Ack! You are both right. :smack:
I just thought of another one…
William Wallace - Braveheart: “FREEEEEEEDOOOOOM!”
from memory so forgive me…
“I feel…cold.” - Captain Barbosa, Pirates of the Caribbean
“I can hold my breath a looooooooong time!” - Leslie Nielson, Creepshow
“How did he do such great stunts…with such little feet?” - Hedley Lamarr, Blazing Saddles
“They’re coming to get you, Barbara!” - um…Barbara’s brother, Night of the Living Dead
“Daddy…” - Tea Leoni, Deep Impact
“Onccccce…a man…I was onccccce a man…ssssssss” - Cobra Commander, GI Joe the Movie
“IT’S BEAUTIFUL!!!” - Belloq(?), Raiders of the Lost Ark
“Damn…that was fast…” Kid, The Quick and the Dead
Though it wasn’t very clear in the movie, Cobra Commander didn’t die. Later on in the show, some of his minions are carrying him around (apparantly unable to find anyone to match his unique brand of leadership) and he is un-snaked through some means or another.
I’m dying of curiosity - what is this from?
Are you serious?Do you really not know this show?
It’s the last words of the various Doctors Who before they regenerated.
yeah, Shatner didn’t really start packin’ on the pounds until after T.J. Hooker was over (hey, he had to be able to ride the hood of those cars all the time, y’know? )
Humor.
It is a difficult concept.
^ :dubious: ^
“Do you have any famous last words?”
“Not really.”
“Not Really? Is that famous?”
“The man is a buffoon.”
However, while these were his final last words, the Baron Munchausen did not die at that time.
Sir Thomas More: I am commanded by the king to be brief, and since I am the king’s obedient subject, brief I will be. I die His Majesty’s good servant, but God’s first.
Sir Thomas More: [to executioner, handing him his wages] I forgive you, right readily. Be not afraid of your office: you send me to God.
Archbishop Cranmer: You’re very sure of that, Sir Thomas?
Sir Thomas More: He will not refuse one who is so blithe to go to Him.
If you don’t know this one, your classic movie license will be revoked!
It was just “Vash, take care of Knives!”
In the original Japanese dialogue it was just “Vash! Knives!”
And let’s not forget, “IT’S A GUNDAAAAAMM!!!”
“Lalah Sun was a young woman who could very well have become a mother to me. You took away her life, so don’t you dare judge me!”
“Lalah? Your mother?”
Char Aznable and Amuro Ray, Char’s Counterattack
“Don’t worry, my pretty one. I’ll make everything better for you.”
Dark Schneider, Bastard!!
“SO WHAT DO YOU FEED YOUR KIDS FOR BREAKFAST?”
“NOTHING! IF THEY’RE GOING TO CONTINUE TO ACT UP, YOU SHOULD SEND 'EM STRAIGHT OFF TO BED, NO DINNER!”
Dr. Gnomm, Wings of Honneamise
“Stick, yeah, stick stupid! Fetch the stick, boy! Eh, no wonder you’re all extinct. I’m gonna run you over when I come back down.”
Dennis Nedry, Jurassic Park
“Clever girl.”
Muldoon, Jurassic Park
“What’s this? ‘Extremely High Voltage?’ Well, I don’t need safety gloves, because I’m Homer Simp–”
Frank “Grimey” Grimes
“YAAAAHOOOO!”
—Major T.J. “King” Kong, Dr. Strangelove
“[laughter]”
—The Joker, and the Predator. Different movies, of course.
All from THE GODFATHER
[imitating a monster]: “Arrrghhhh! Arrrrggghhh!” Don Vito Corleone (his last intelligible line was "You run in there – run in there… ".
“Tom, can you get me off the hook? For ol’ time’s sake.” Sal Tessio (though he may have said something once he was in the car)
“Must have been him, then.” Paulie (in response to “who farted?”)
“Grazie.” Luca Brasi
McCluskey: “I’ve frisked a thousand young punks.”
Solozzo [in Sicilian]: We will stop fighting until your father is well and can resume bargaining. No vengeance will be taken. We will have peace, but your family should interfere no longer…"
(to the “toll booth vendor”) “Sonafabitch! Come on! Come on!” Sonny Corleone
“Whinnnnnnnnny…whinnnnnnny.” Khartoum
Love the show but never got to see much of it. PBS in Chicago stopped showing it YEARS ago and even when they did have it, it was sporadic at best.
Hm, must have mis-remembered, then. (And is it just me, or is that line rather ambiguous?)
I think she never got to finish her sentence, because I vaguely recall her saying “Knives wo–” before the door closed.
