I just came from XMen. I enjoyed it. I also saw some trailers and am now looking forward to (didn’t see trailers for everthing I’m looking forward to):
Superman Returns
My Super ex-Girlfriend
Ghost Rider
Pirates of the Carribean
I will see on DVD
The Lake House
Lady in the Water
Monster House
Miami Vice
That takes us through September, which I’ll leave for later in the year. What are you looking forward to?
Me too. Is it my imagination or did they push the premier date back? I had it on my calendar for today, Memorial Day, but maybe I got it mixed up with X-Men III. Unless they did push it back because of X-Men?
The Break Up (getting terrible reviews but I like Vince Vaughn & Jon Favreau) Cars (Pixar is hit and miss for me but this looks alright) Heart of the Game (doc about girls basketball…it’s getting great reviews) The Lake House (shut up, I like romantic movies) The Road to Guantanamo (I’ve heard good things) Superman Returns (it’s superman…) POTC: Dead Mans Chest (I’m worried but I enjoyed the first one) A Scanner Darkly (like the director, have been excited for a while) Lady of the Water (Paul Giamatti is in it) You, Me, and Dupree (Owen Wilson is in it) My Super Ex Girlfriend (my super future girlfriend is in it) I could never be your woman (Amy Heckerling, Tracy Ullman…looks neat) Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (it has Sacha Baron Coen) The Ant Bully (funny concept though not unique) The Science of Sleep (Michel Gondry, Gael Garcia Bernal…it looks pretty good) World Trade Center (Oliver Stone gets one more chance) Snakes on a Plane (I get the feeling it’ll be really dumb but it’s snakes on a plane…) Invincible (heaven help me, I like football movies) Miami Vice (I have faith in Michael Mann) Clerks II (the reviews were pretty good at Cannes - which was surprising to say the least) The Illusionist (A fight to the death. I love Edward Norton and Hate Jessica Biel. Lets see who wins!)
I left off two Meryl Streep movies (A Prairie Home Companion and The Devil Wears Prada) that I don’t really want to see except for the fact that Meryl Streep is in them. I’ll probably see them if word to mouth is good.
