…my website is back online (continuation of thread title)
I hereby announce that I am back online with MSN or rather Live Messenger. Click the MSN button over there to the right of this post and add me! (edit: It’s above, not to the right) I have a lot of non-drinking time to kill in the evenings after work, and what better way to spend it than gassing to fellow Dopers.
Why don’t more people do that? [Ask on the SDMB for MSN friends]. Is it that I am just self-obsessed (or is it more that I am typing out a post so my fingers and my brain are doing something… as long as they’ve got something to do do they really care that this is going out ‘live’ to a public message board?)
I decided to resurrect my livejournal too. I found to my surprise that it’s still there, that it’s registered under an ancient email address I had back in England.
I found out to my even more surprising surprise that I was able to log into that old account!
(my ISP had told me many years ago they were going to discontinue the service and I had 30 days to close it)
And it didn’t have ten million spams in it! I guess spammers do give up eventually. It had 25 spam plus the password reset email from LJ which was the reason I’d tried to log into it.
My website (which is not worth visiting yet, it’s just a test-bed for learning to do PHP and stuff) is back online NO THANKS to the service provider us2.net… I got fed up waiting for replies to support tickets and managed to fix it by myself.
website: http://peterlobley.co.uk (yes it’s my real first and last name, which I biteth the bullet and reveal the bruce wayne behind the batman that is Lobsang)
LJ: http://lobley.livejournal.com
MSN (click the button!) pjlobley_spam@manx.net.
Hopefully (for you guys) I’ll divert all my inane shit to the LJ and/or website!
