You did a very difficult thing, and it sounds like you did well. Having “curly” there may actually be to your advantage, because he’ll look like a blabbermouth and you’ll look like the strong, silent type. That can be very appealing.

Interesting things are a happ’nin’!
Saturday evening, I went to church, and prior to the service, I was sitting in the lobby, just hanging out, and one of gals from the singles party came over and talked me. I hadn’t met her, at the party, but I recognized her, and she recognized me, and came over to talk. A few minutes later, a guy from night before also came and talked to us. We all decided to sit together at the service, then we went out to Taco bell afterwards and talked for a couple hours. :eek: 
I can’t for the life of me remember the guy’s name, but IIRC the womans name was Rachel. I am SO bad with names, it’s a wonder I even know my own name! LOL
Anyways, it was cool, and it looks like I have some new friends now. They are involved in weekly small group meetings, with fellow church people, and I am looking to getting into that myself. If things keep going as they have been, I might be out of my shell, much sooner than I ever dreamed. I’m sure that once I join a group, I’'l make more friends and who knows what may happen from there.

A friend of mine joined a church about 1 1/2 years ago. She has become very involved with volunteering & activities there. Her main reason for joining was for religious reasons, but a side benefit is that she has widened her previously limited pool of friends, and doesn’t spend as much time by herself (or going with our group to he steam baths.)
But, she is happy. Though she still hasn’t had sex since January 1999. :eek:
