Does anyone know whether or where these obscure little Frito-Lay chips can be found? I don’t believe I’ve tasted a Munch-O in well nigh 5 years, maybe more! They were my very most favorite potato chip because, to me anyway, they tasted just like french fries, and went terrifically with homemade pizza. I thought they must be extinct, but I just saw a reference to them on the Hellfire web page. Are they still in existence? Can they be purchased near your home? CAN YOU SEND ME SOME??? Or should I just look for Frito-Lay’s homepage? Merci in advance!

Ok, I went to www.frito-lay.com, and lo and behold they did mention my beloved Munchos, but did not have any information on where they could be purchased; just dietary information (like I give a rat’s ass).
So my plea stands: Where can I find them in the Salem, OR area, or can you send me some! I’d be ever so grateful for your help!

Oh, Lion, I haven’t been able to find them in this area in years! Even when they were readily available, my sister was the only other person I knew who knew what they were and enjoyed them. I was sure they were discontinued. I’m incredibly jealous
I haven’t tried Pringle’s Cheez-ums yet, but when my husband brings home their new pizza flavored chips, I end up gobbling them all down. Once you pop, and all that…

I would offer to send you a couple of big bags but I think that they would arrive as a powder.
You might call or write frito-lay,they might be able to tell you where in your area they are sold.
It worked for Ayesha and I several years ago,we were on vacation in the D.C. area and we discovered a local brand of soft drink that we liked.
We wrote the company a humorous letter and in reply they sent us a couple of cases of soda.
Gr8Kat,
By the way, I live right where the main Frito-Lay plant is- we have muncho’s everywhere. Drop me an e-mail if you want me to pick some up and send them out. It’s really no bother
I LOVE those things…

What kind of chips were the ones that were skin-on… one side was regular yellow, the other side was a darker brownish color… they were really good… I think Keebler (!?) made them…?

We are the children of the Eighties. We are not the first “lost generation” nor today’s lost generation; in fact, we think we know just where we stand - or are discovering it as we speak.
I know how you feel about Munchos, a local convenience store had 5 big bags of 'em. I went Wow! and ate all four of them in two weeks, and they haven’t had them since. The are much superior to Pringles. Oh, well, at least my waist line thanks me.
