Hi.
I was really hoping that you would come to your senses and actually compare what Hockey Monkey has posted to what I have posted. By sheer volume of posts and accusation, of course I’m going to have more posts that rub people the wrong way. I’ve voiced suspicion of Cookies (Oh look a vote for me!); I’m being blamed for storyteller’s death (Look more votes for me!). But I thought we had gotten past the lynch-the-talkative bias and know to look at all the posts. Yeah, I’m playing the game. I’m participating – a lot. Can any of you seriously look at my posts and say that they show scumminess more that Townness? Why do I bother with trying to drive discussion, get the game moving, and analyze the situation if all you will focus on are vague feelings of distrust?
I’m not going to hold your disintegrating me against you, but the way you have gone about doing it is atrocious. Has anyone looked at Hockey Monkey? (I know ShadowFacts has in previous Turns), but anyone else? No one finds Hockey Monkey a little bit too clean? Uncontroversial? Quietly watching you kill me?
That is the problem here (and I admit I’m guilty of it too), you are all looking for signs of scumness in the form of “_______ is doing X because he is scum” instead of “_____ didn’t do something because he is SCUM.” Scum is to be found by the actions they don’t take just as much as the actions that they do.
Squid, I hope this is your LUCKY day. I will use my Cure on you (It takes effect before the disintegration). So your chance of survival (Cure + Luck) should be 75%.
Kill Hockey Monkey. And unlike storyteller, I’m telling you to do this with solid information. Do not be dissuaded by talk of Staff of Command. If the Staff was used to fuck things up, well then you are fucked anyway. Kill Hockey Monkey.
Oh, and Kill anyone with TWO ITEMS. Oh, you’re townie and you picked up the Orb of Healing to “help the Town?” Bullshit. You’ve kept your mouth shut way too long. That’s a recipe for blowing the use of the Orb and Chucara’s Cure (and mine). Any Townie who picked up the Orb should have said something. Any Townie who picked up the Amulet REALLY should have said something. Thus I conclude that the Orb and the Amulet were picked up by Evil.
Note: On Turn One storyteller had the Helm, Blaster Master had the Amulet, and tdpatriots is Good. All investigations on Turn One are not subject to reflection or empathy. The Staff of Command leaves some trouble, but if MHaye saw me target Chucara on Turn One, that would be evidence that the Staff was not in use (not full evidence, but some).
On Turn Two, tdpatriots had the Helm and the Hoard had the Amulet. Again all investigations should be clean
On Turn Three, some unknown person has the Amulet.
The Nuclear Option:
Our ability to disintegrate multiple people puts us in the position to win even if we have only a handful of confirmed Town. Usually to win via confirmed town, we need the number of confirmed to exceed half of the current population. With multi-disintegration we theoretically only need one, but three is probably a safe bet.
Obviously the Nuclear Option as so named, should only be employed if Town finds itself in a dire situation. You don’t know this yet, but after you kill me, Town will be in a dire situation.
Step One: Identify confirmed Town as A, B and C.
Step Two: A, B and C vote for NO ONE.
Step Three: All others vote for everyone else except for A, B and C and THEMSELVES.
Step Four: A, B and C vote for anyone who does not comply with Step Three.
Step Five: A, B and C must monitor the END of TURN
Step Six: If anyone unvotes during the END of TURN; A,B and C vote for the person who removed their vote (NOT the person who was unvoted).
If all A, B and C are Town, then Town wins
If one is Evil, then 3 handed will determine the outcome (Note, one will be Cursed, this is not an indication of Townness or scumness)
If two or more are Evil, well you screwed up your confirmed Town list didn’t you, and you were going to lose anyway.
The method would also work with one confirmed Town, but the risks of End of Turn messiness is higher. Then again, if you fail to make headway in this game, you might not have a better choice.
