Even more woo:

My investigation revealed…

“You detect Chaotic Evil on Darth Sensitive.”

Vote Darth Sensitive
YES!!!

Yes.

I took the Orb of Healing on Turn 2, to give me a Turn power that didn’t involve roleblocking.

I employed it on Boozahol to make as sure as I could that Boozahol survived the Turn. I was half-expecting an extra kill attempt against a Good player and wanted to maximise the chance he survived.

Before I decided to use the Orb, I verified that reductions in the kill chance for the Curse were cumulative, so if Sach was in fact an honest broker then the chance he gave of Boozahol surviving was on the low side.

I still have the item that I started with as well.

Well, that’s intriguing. I redirected you using the staff of command onto sach, because I was unsure if it was scum/scum violence.

That’s hella weak, Darth.

Well Chucara hasn’t come forward with an investigation of the investigator. I’d get lynched for going to the horde or another player, so I wanted to make sure somebody worthwhile got investigated.

I’ll even toss the damn thing in the horde if that’d make you all believe that I have it.

Let’s assume that you are telling the truth. I have some questions:

  1. If you thought I should investigate sach, why didn’t you advocate for that in game instead up just usurping my role?
  2. When did you decide to redirect me?

The more details you can give about your plan, the more likely I will be to believe you.

I was Evil?

:stuck_out_tongue: Go Evil!

I may never forgive you, HoMonk. :frowning:

Oh, I believe that you have it. But didn’t you read earlier in the game how using it was an anti-Town manuever? And how could you possibly imagine that by redirecting an investigation, you couldclear your own name? That might have been useful at the very beginning of the game, when we had enough people to spare a mislynch and then act on your information once you’re dead and we realized your motives were good, but using the staff is tantamount to lying… and you know what we do with liars, right?

Nailed you, sucka!

PS. Good game, Hockey.

I put in a conditional request to Pleonast. If I was going to be disintegrated I was going to use my Cure on Squid (It was the only thing I could do as Cures occur before disintegration). If I wasn’t getting zapped, I would investigate.

I was this >< close to investigating Darth Sensitive even though he isn’t on my list. My list has been decimated/investigated. Then I thought, damn, confirming Chucara would be very important even though it would be obvious who is left on my list to investigate (MHaye, Squid, and Cookies are also on my list, but they all reduce my probability of success).

Also, I was growing concerned about Chucara’s behavior. I found it very suspicious that she voted for Hockey Monkey instead of me. Based on his prior behavior and suspicion of me and all that, I didn’t get why he would so very early in the Turn vote for Hockey Monkey. I was convinced that he would turn up by the end of the Turn and declare that he investigated me and that’s why he voted for Hockey Monkey. But he didn’t. He voted for Hockey Monkey without really giving a good reason why.

Want to guess why?
I have detected Evil on Chucara.

In other news, I’m still holding my original item.

As for Darth Sensitive. Wow, that’s a bad excuse. You seriously expect us to believe that you used the Staff of Command on ShadowFacts to make him investigate me? That makes no sense at all.

  1. We’ve stated long ago that the Staff of Command is Anti-Town.
  2. Redirecting ShadowFacts obscures the data. No Town would ever do that
  3. Pro-Town players do not interfere with the actions of others. The only pro-Town reason to mess with ShadowFacts is if you thought ShadowFacts was Evil. And in this context that doesn’t even make sense.
  4. Investigators confirming Good players is more powerful than finding Evil. (With the caveat that Evil results are more reliable in that the Amulet of Reflection cannot give a false Evil reading, but could give a false Good reading.

Darth also insinuates that my exposing Hockey Monkey was Evil on Evil. I’ll leave that to the rest of the group to determine the ridiculousness of that assertion.

How did Cookies Die? Right now my top guess is Squid’s trap killed her since Cookies used her Wind Power, which would have necessarily triggered Squid’s trap on Cookies. But that is only a 1/6th chance. But Since no one died on previous Turns, I’m inclined to believe that no Evil has the Axe of-whatever or the Sword-of-blah-blah-blah.

Um, could you guys unvote me? It feels uncomfortable.

Status of me:
I still have my original item.
I still am capable of Curing someone.
I’m still Good.

You know. If Darth Sensitive had just denied ShadowFacts’s result I would have at least had to consider the possibility that ShadowFacts was Evil; but by making up an implausible and clearly anti-Town use of the Staff of Command, he’s made the decision easy.

Did anyone watch ShadowFacts or Darth Sensitive?

Oh, and who’s been cursed?

I did not cure Squid (sorry squiddy). So Squid’s chances of surviving alone (assuming he used his Luck) is 1/6 + 1/65/6 which is about 14% (not so hot).
With MHaye’s Orb of Healing Squid’s chance of survival was 3/6 + 3/6
3/6 = 75%, which is much better. Therefore, the probabilities indicate a strong chance that MHaye is telling the truth and used the Orb to save Squid.
[Of course this all assumes Squid is Good, but I have no reason to think Squid is not Good, because Squid is the perfect cursing candidate for Evil since Curing him yield a chance of death]

Question to MHaye: Why weren’t you concerned about the traps? :dubious:

Anyone want to claim prior possession of the items in the Hoard? I’d like to figure out who had what and when?

It looks like Hockey Monkey stole the Amulet of Reflection from the Hoard last Turn.
MHaye claims to have taken the Orb of Healing from the Hoard Last Turn.

  • No one took the Helm of Empathy this Turn

  • No one took the Shield of Adamantium this Turn:)

  • someone had the Ring of Invisibility blown into the Hoard

  • ShadowFacts implicitly claims to have the Ring of Limited Wishes blown into the Hoard

  • someone had the Wand of Holding blown into the Hoard

Am I missing anything?

Oh wait. I’m so stupid sometimes. Darth Sensitive redirecting ShadowFacts is clearly bullshit because if Darth Sensitive were Good, at the time he put his action into Pleonast, he would NOT have known Hockey Monkey’s alignment. To a theoretical “good” Darth, Hockey Monkey could have come up Good thereby making obvious that I was Evil. He couldn’t think that my saying Hockey Monkey was Evil was evil on evil plot unless he knew Hockey Monkey was Evil. Otherwise, he would be potentially wasting an investigation on someone who would be obviously Evil if Hockey Monkey turned up Good.

Yeah, Darth is definitively Evil.

Sometimes a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.

My main concern was that we might be on the verge of losing. Assuming for a moment that we started with a four-person Evil team (by far the most likely), if we Disintegrated a Good player, lost Boozahol to the Curse (and found him Good) and suffered a third loss (possibly by the use of an extra-kill weapon) we’d have lost on the spot.

To be honest, between dealing with who to vote for, feeding my face and some domestic stuff, I forgot Boozy’s traps affected anyone who targeted him. But, even if I had remembered, I’d still have done it. I was uncertain over whether you had actually sent in a “cure Boozahol” action (as you would not have done if you were Evil), and since Pleo verified the fact that our efforts would be cumulative, the chance of no death was still greater if I did act than if I did not, or so I estimate (if Boozy had used his Luck power, the chance of his death would be very low.)

9 Players alive. 2, 3, or 4 scum left.
I conclude that there is only 2 or 3 scum left. 4 and Darth Sensitive and Chucara could have easily voted for me (and only me) and pushed the game to Evil’s favor with a win. Even if Cookies lived and Squid Lived, that would be 10 players alive and 5 scum left. It would have been very easy for Evil to win at that point.

With Chucara and Darth Sensitive identified as Evil, that leaves 0 or 1 Evil left.

  • Darth Sensitive should be clearly Evil to all. I can think of no situation where Darth Sensitive is Good and his statements make sense.
  • Chucara, I know is Evil, but you do not. If you actually think I’m Evil and turned in Hockey Monkey, then there is little I can do to help you. The possible existence of the Staff kind of bothers me, but I don’t think we can really do anything about that. And I would really like MHaye to confirm that he saw me fail my investigation on Chucara on Turn One.

Also, if anyone can confirm I targeted Chucara this Turn, that would be exceedingly good.

I’m very much in favor of a dual lynch this turn of Chucara and DS. I tend to agree with sachertorte that a vigorous scum group with five players would have steamrolled the vote last turn, and so it seems likely that there will be, at most, one scum left after all of this.

I’m hoping that all of the Chaotic Good players are gone, as we’ve already had three of of them, which is roughly what chance would suggest. I can’t help but imagine, though, that at least Zsofia is also Chaotic: I can’t see a Lawful paladin not investigating.

I was just looking at the votes.

It ma be that Team Evil had been plotting to get both lynched, and counting on me to vote for both (since I had been arguing that two deaths was the best way to avoid losing if there were five in Team Evil to start with). I voted quite late, and maybe none of HM’s Evil voters saw it in time to restore the tie?

I confirm that I Watched you in the first turn, that I saw you use a magical power on Chucara, and that it failed.

I cannot confirm the specific power you used, but since your power of Divination is a Magical power, your claim to have used it is consistent with what I know.
