I’m not a 1337 g4m0r or anything, but I scooped up the PC version of Army Men: World War a few days ago, after I saw it deeply discounted and remembered digging the original PS version awhile back.
The problem: When I’m playing the game (in either “Battle” or “Campaign” mode), the mouse cursor “sticks” as I try to move it around the screen.
I’m using a Logitech USB optical mouse on an KDS notebook (PIII 850). I’ll have to check my video card when I get home, but I believe it’s an ALi 8mb.
I installed it on my GF’s 400 mhz Celeron (with a ball mouse) and it works fine. Nearest I can figure, the USB mouse is sucking too much power for the video card to handle during game play.
I lost the PS2 adapter for the mouse… would running out and getting one solve my problem, or should I look for something else?
If it’s the video card, I’m screwed.
Your help is appreciated. This game is like crack.
Danke.
