Is the cat’s movement at all influenced by where you click, or given two or three options for “away from you”, does it pick one at random?
About the seventh game I was able to get that damn cat. Can’t do it anymore though.

mmm, I changed the color of the ball after about 20 tries.
I circled the cat at the first try!
It really seemed to me that hitting the ball anywhere would change the color. I may have been mistaken.
I can corral the cat (there’s a name for you) somewhere between one in three times and half the time, depending on what spots are already blocked at the start. Is it always possible?
ETA: general strategy: the cat will always move away from your first move. I do better when I set out “picket stakes” which I try to fill in, rather than trying to build a solid wall from the start.
I’ve had some luck herding it and closing off all possible ways out while it races toward them. Got it 3-4 times now.
You can just click on the ball with your first click.
